Spellbinders Blog Hop – Birthday Bliss

Hey friends! Today, Spellbinders is having a HUGE Blog Hop with lots of amazing projects!!

You can start at the beginning of the Hop on the Spellbinders Blog. Keep scrolling to see my project featuring the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month for November!

I created this bright and cheery card using these products:
* Essential Envelope Die Set from the Not Your Ordinary Card Collection by Wendy Vecchi
* November’s Large Die of the Month
* November’s Clear Stamp and Die of the Month

To create the white pocket, I used the Essential Envelope Die Set. I also used this die set to cut the small flowers you see all over the card!

I also cut all the pieces (plus a few more!) from the Large Die of the Month with all different beautiful and bright colors. All the dies you see on the card are from this set (except the flowers and pocket)! Even the blue notecard is created from this die set!

The sentiment is from the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month for November called “Confetti Wishes”. I die cut the outline die 3 times to create this really cool retro shadow vibe!

Thank you for hopping along with us! I hope you get inspired and I hope you WIN one of the THREE $25 gift certificates that Spellbinders is giving away!

Hello crafty friends! It’s only 20 days until Halloween! I thought I’d share my favorite spooky cards with you today!

First off – who doesn’t LOVE a glow-in-the-dark card?! I know I do! For this card, I used the glow-in-dark-embossing powder on the stars and the spider webs!

Buy the products used:

Next up, we have another scene using the same products, but this one is a shaker card! For the background, I used the Heffy Doodle Brick-by-Brick Stencil! For my shaker, I used the Hocus Pocus Sparkle Mix.

Next up, I just LOOOVE these cuties from the Maker Forte Magical Brew Stamp Set! Are they just so cute colored in with alcohol markers or what?! Plus, that stunning Stargazer Background!! Perfection!

Next, we have some of my favorites from the Catherine Pooler Sweet-n-Spooky Collection! This bundle is ON SALE and has already went out of stock once! Don’t miss out on the cutest Halloween papers, stamps, and dies!

We can’t have a Halloween post without some cute critters wearing costumes!! Check out these Heffy Doodle Costume Critters! I love how adorable they look colored in with OLO markers! I paired these critters with the Sunburst Stencil to create a focal point!

Oh and I CANNOT forget this stunning scene! I love mixing and matching stamp sets! For this card, I used the Let’s Hang Out, Costume Critters, and Veggie Patch stamp sets.

Heffy Doodle and Newton’s Nook Designs Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Newton’s Nook Designs Collaboration Blog Hop!
Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies! I am super excited to share my card with you!

To create this card, I’m starting with the Heffy Doodle Slimline Mini Mails Die and a piece of white cardstock trimmed to slimline size (3.5″x8.5″).

Next, I am stamping my images from the Newton’s Nook All About for Christmas stamp set and the Heffy Doodle Santa’s Village stamp set with the Maker Forte ReMARKable Eclipse Black ink. This is my favorite alcohol-friendly black ink!

Now, onto coloring my adorable images with Copic markers!

For my background, I’m blending Catherine Pooler’s Chiffon, Maker Forte’s Yellowstone, Bubblegum, and Coral Keys inks.

To create my hill and slider element, I’m using the Heffy Doodle Slimline Scenery Dies and the Straight Slider Dies. To create a longer slider, I’m die cutting 2 of the sliders right next to each other.

Using Deep Foam tape, I’m propping up my hill to give me room for a button to use as my sliding element. After attaching my trains to the buttons, I can start assembling the rest of the card using 3D foam squares and glue!

Here’s another photo of the finished card and some close-ups!

And that’s it for my card!! I hope you enjoyed my part in the Blog Hop!

EZ-Lights Peek-a-Boo Pals Light Up Card

Hello there, crafty friends!  I am so happy to be guest designing for Pear Blossom Press using the oh-so-amazing EZ- Lights!

To make this light-up card, I started by stamping some images from the Avery Elle Peek-a-Boo Pets, Peek-a-Boo Pals, and Peek-a-Boo Car stamp sets.  I colored all of the images with Copic markers and then cut them out with their coordinating dies.

Now onto creating my background scene!  On a piece of white cardstock cut to 5.25″ x 4.5″, I blended Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Faded Jeans Distress Oxides.  I also created a foreground frame using Heffy Doodle’s Stitched Rectangle Dies and My Favorite Things Inside and Out Stitched Rounded Squares Dies.  For my street, I grabbed a piece of gray cardstock and used the Heffy Doodle Stitched Slopey Joe Border Dies.  I darkened the edges using Black Soot Distress ink to give it some dimension.  I also stamped my sentiment on the “street” using Versamark Watermark Ink and used white embossing powder on it.

Using the Heffy Doodle Cityscape Stencil, I created a city in the background with Black Soot Distress Ink.  I added some stars with Antique Linen Distress Oxide and the Starfall Stencil.

Now, I’m finally ready to get my EZ-lights installed!  I set my colored images up where I wanted them and then used a pencil to make marks on the background where I wanted my lights to shine through.  I poked holes through those spots and then used my pencil to create dots on my card base.  I put dots where I wanted each of the 3 lights to go, as well as where my push button will be.

Then, on my card base, I lined up the lights and push button on top of my pencil marks.  I used some tape to hold the pieces down and used 3mm Deep Foam Tape to prop my card front up.  This thick foam tape keeps me from having to double up on regular foam tape!

Now, all I needed to do was adhere all my images to the front of the card using liquid glue and 3D foam squares!  And voila!  It’s magic!  Man, I love these EZ-lights!!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!  I hope you have a fantastic day!  Xoxo, Amanda

Happy Hanukkah – 2 Quick and Easy Cards

Hello friends and welcome back to The Hedgehog Hollow Blog! It’s Amanda Fitterer back today with some more holiday cards!

The November Subscription Box is available now, but you only have until November 14th to get yours! If you want to see the reveal video, you can find it here. The box is full of lots of goodies, including the double-sided patterned paper that I used for these cards! There’s also a really cool product called WoodUBend that is super fun to play with. If you haven’t seen my video using the product, you can find the post here.

Now onto these beautiful Hanukkah cards!

To create my first card, I used the double-sided patterned paper with Dress My Craft’s Rounded Tag Punch. I tied baker’s twine to each of my tags and popped them up with 3D foam squares. I used Danube Blue and Bahama Blue Memento ink to stamp my image from the “Happy Hanukkah” stamp set. This stamp set is included in the November box and has loads of great images and sentiments. I cut a circle of vellum to frame my Star of David. I used 3D foam squares to adhere the Star and vellum to the front of the card. To finish the card off, I placed a few embellishments from Dress My Craft’s Penguins and Snowflakes Mix.

To create my shaker card, I used Stitched Dies and the double-sided patterned paper to create my frames and base. I filled my shaker with Penguin Slices and Penguins and Snowflakes Mix. I tied some baker’s twine to the bottom of the card. I stamped and fussy cut the Dove out from the “Happy Hanukkah” stamp set. I colored the image with B95, B93, and B91. I used 3D foam squares to adhere the image to my card.

And voila! You have 2 quick and easy Hanukkah cards!

Thank you so much for coming by The Hedgehog Hollow blog! It’s almost the weekend! Hang in there! I’ll have one more post on the November box on November 28th, so keep an eye out!

Xoxo, Amanda

Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs products, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!

CARD 1 – Slimline Hamster Slider

CARD 1 PRODUCTS USED:
HEFFY DOODLE:
Slimline Pull Tab Dies
Stitched Slimline Trio Dies
Grassy Lass Border Dies
Bold Banner Sentiments Stamps
Bold Banner Sentiments Dies
Wavy Water Slides Dies
Colored Cardstock

TIME FOR TEA DESIGNS:
Hooray Hamster Stamps
Hooray Hamster Dies

To make this fun slider slimline card, I’m going to start with the Slimline Pull Tab Dies and the Stitched Slimline Trio Dies. I am using the Colored Cardstock from Heffy Doodle as well as 80 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock.
Using the Grassy Lass Border Dies, I’m going to create 2 little hills for the hamsters to roll down. I am using G00, G40, and G12 Copic markers to color my hills.
I’m positioning the Wavy Water Slides Dies so that they’re hidden behind the grass.

I am stamping my little Hooray Hamster Stamps and then coloring the images with my Copic markers.
I am using: 0, BG32, BG11, BG10, BG0000
E00, E50, E30, E31, E34, E11, E13, E40, E42, E43

For the slider portion, I’m going to cut 2 extra wheels, plus 2 small circles (these are from Lawn Fawn’s Reveal Wheel dies), and grab 2 brads.
First, I’m attaching my colored hamster to the colored wheel.
Next, I’m attaching my extra wheel to my small circle with a brad.
Now, I’m going to put foam squares on the wheel and attach both wheels to each other. This will allow the hamster wheel to turn in circles.
I’m cutting down a small circle to be my slide and then attaching a strip of acetate to it.
Once I adhere my grass to the front of the card, I will adhere my hamster wheel to the acetate strip.

I stamped my sentiments, adhered my grass using 3D foam strips, and then attached my hamsters. Now my hamsters can turn in circles and slide down the hill at the same time!

CARD 2 – Wingman Toucan Shadow Box

CARD 2 PRODUCTS USED:
HEFFY DOODLE PRODUCTS:
Big Shadow Box Die
Wingman Stamps
Wingman Dies
UnbeLEAFable Stencil

TIME FOR TEA PRODUCTS:
Toucan Do This Stamps
Toucan Do This Dies

For this tropical card, I’m starting with the Big Shadow Box Die and some dark cardstock. Using the UnbeLEAFable Stencil and embossing paste, I’m creating the pattern on both sides (letting it dry before flipping over to the other side.)

While that dries, I’m going to stamp my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color my images with Copic markers. Click on any photo to view it larger.

After die cutting my images, I’m ready to start assembling the card! I am using liquid glue and 3D foam squares to adhere all the images. I am using double sided tape to construct the shadow box.
For my bird swing, I am using a small hole punch to put a hole on top of the swing and then using yellow and white baker’s twine to make a bow. I’m attaching it to an acetate strip. I am also attaching my yellow bird to an acetate strip so that he can fly back and forth.

PRIZES:
Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs will each be giving away a 25£ to their respective stores.

Heffy Doodle New Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle Release Blog Hop! The new release is now available for purchase from Heffy Doodle and official retailers, and we are celebrating with lots of inspiration and a giveaway, too!

To create this card, I am using the following products:
A Little Shellfish Stamps | A Little Shellfish Dies | Breaking Waves Border Dies | Wavy Water Slides Dies | Silver Linings Cloud Border Dies | Heffy Doodle Colored Cardstock | More Strips of Ease Dies

To make this fun interactive card, I’m going to set up my background. With the Breaking Waves Border Dies and the colored cardstock from Heffy Doodle. I’m using 2 of my wave dies as sand, instead of water. For those 2, I’m going to add a little dimension with my Copic E41 and E42 markers. I’m also going to create my slides for my critters using the coordinating Wavy Water Slides Dies.

I stamped my A Little Shellfish images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and am coloring my images with Copic markers and a white Gelly Roll pen.
Blues: B000, B00, B02
Reds: R30, R32, R35, R27
Greens: G12, G02
Blue-Greens: BG10, BG11, BG13
Earth: E41, E42

After laying everything out, I’ve decided to get rid of the dark blue background and use some Silver Linings Clouds and another light blue background instead.

For my sentiments, I’m using Versamark Watermark ink and white embossing powder on black cardstock. I am using scissors, a paper trimmer, and More Strips of Ease die to cut them down.

Now I’m ready to start putting the card together! I’m cutting my lobster’s claw open so he can hold the pinwheel. I’m using buttons and 3D foam squares to adhere my sliding critters. I’m also doubling and tripling up on 3D foam adhesive so the critters can move smoothly! And voila! All done!

GIVEAWAY INFO:
To celebrate the new release Heffy Doodle will be giving away a £50 voucher to the Heffy Doodle Store!! Make sure to comment on each stop in the hop to be entered for your chance to win. The winner will be selected randomly and announced on the Heffy Doodle blog on July 25th.
