Twiddler’s Nook Spooktacular Instagram Hop

Hey guys! I wanted to share how I put together this shaker card for the Twiddler’s Nook Spooktacular Instagram Hop! To win, you’ll have to head to the Hop on Instagram, but definitely scroll down to see how to make this card and all the awesome supplies I used!!

I used the Heffy Doodle Stitched Birthday Trio Dies with a piece of white cardstock. I then created 3 “scenes” with the 3 cut out pieces. On the top one, I blended Catherine Pooler’s Flirty Fuchsia and Glam inks. I also added some stars using a gold gel pen and the Starfall Stencil. I used Bellini and Mandarin Spice for the middle one. I added a background using the Sleepy Hollow Stencil. The bottom one is blended with Melon Ice and Garden Party and the Sleepy Hollow Stencil.

Next, I stamped my images from the Let’s Hang Out Stamp Set. I colored them with Copic markers and then cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I used the magnets from my White Glass Magnetic Craft Mat to hold my card base in place while I glued the 3 “scenes” down.

Now, I’m ready to create the shaker portion of the card. I used double sided tape on the back of the frame. Then, I cut down a piece of acetate to fit behind the frame and adhered it.

Then, I added 3D Foam Tape all around the frame.

Now for the super fun part!! Adding shaker mixes! I kept each section separate with the foam tape, so I wanted to use different mixes for each section. On the top, we have the Twiddler’s Nook Burning Embers Embellishment Mix. The middle one contains a mix of the Happy Jacks and the Mulan Princess Rings. The bottom is the Tiana Princess Rings.

Once I added my frame to the top, I added all my cute stamped images to the front of the card.

Just take a look at these embellishments up close!

My favorite craft essentials:
Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine
* MISTI
Smart Craft Glue
*  Petal Pink Gemini Jr. Die Cutting Machine
* 3D Foam Squares
* 3D Foam Tape

Pear Blossom Press and Heffy Doodle Collaboration Blog Hop

Hey friends!  Today, we’re kicking off a CRAFTY Collaboration Blog Hop with Pear Blossom Press and Heffy Doodle !  Come hop along with us and see some awesome light-up cards!  Plus, each company will be giving away £20/$25 PRIZES!  All you have to do to be entered to win is to leave a comment at each stop along our Hop Lineup before May 29th at 11:59 PM EDT.  Winners will be announced on the Pear Blossom Press & Heffy Doodle Blogs on 5.31.24! Scroll down for the Blog Hop Lineup!

To create this card, I used the Man Cave Paper Pad with the Imperial Storyboard Backdrop Die.

On a plain piece of white cardstock, I used some Heffy Memo Tape to mask off the top half of the card. I ink blended Catherine Pooler’s Wintergreen ink. Then, I removed the Heffy Memo Tape and ink blended the bottom half of the card. I stamped my sentiments – one from the Koality Hugs stamp set and one from the PRESS Stamp and Die Bundle.

I also grabbed my “Hey” Heffy Cuts die and my Catherine Pooler Coral Cabana and Do-Si-Do inks. I cut one of each color.

Next, I stamped all of my images from the Koality Hugs stamp set and colored them with Copic markers. Then, I die cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Now, I can make the card light up! I poked a hole through my koala where I wanted him to light up. Then, I placed him on the card where he’ll chill permanently. I, then, made a mark where the light should go.

Then, I used double sided tape to adhere my Pear Blossom Press One Light where my pencil mark was. Then, I used the World’s Best Foam Tape all over the card base. This tape is the same depth as the EZ-Lights battery component. (This will keep the light from sticking out.)

Then, I assembled the rest of the card using liquid glue and 3D foam squares.

Fall Themed Bullet Journal Planner Layout

Hey crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a really fun planner layout in my Canvo Bullet Journal by Catherine Pooler!

Hey Heffy friends! It’s Amanda Fitterer here and today, I’m sharing a really fun planner layout in my Canvo Bullet Journal! Keep scrolling to see how I made this layout!

First, I used the Jet Alphabetters stamp set to put my dates along the top, evenly spaced.

Next, I created boxes around each of the dates and wrote in the days of the week.

Then, I used my Heffy Memo Tape to mask off a long rectangle where I will create my own “washi tape”!

I stamped the little elements from the Perfect Blend stamp set with tons of Catherine Pooler Inks!
I used Spruce, Sage, Sand Castle, Spiced, Orange Peel, Shea Butter, and Flame. Then, I colored in between each stamp with some markers.

Next, I stamped some of the mugs from the Perfect Blend stamp set and colored them in with mildliners.

I also stamped my sentiment on the bottom of the page.

That’s all for me today, friends! I hope you are feeling inspired to get crafty today!

I’m excited to share my card for this Blog Hop with you! I had such a fun time mixing and matching lots of different new products to create this card!

Step 1: Cut 2 panels from the Stitched Rectangle Dies (US Size).

Step 2: Cut the large bubble from the new Look Who’s Talking Die Set.

Step 3: Stamp the fireplace from the Fireside Dreams Stamp Set onto your panel. Stamp it again on some Heffy Memo Tape and then cut it out with scissors. Use this as a mask to keep the ink from getting on your fireplace.

Step 4: Mask off the bottom of your panel with Heffy Memo Tape.

Step 5: Lightly blend Catherine Pooler’s Lemongrass ink all over the background. Then, blend Melon Ice through the NEW Feeling Mighty Pine Stencil.

Step 6: Blend Cotton Candy ink all along the bottom.

Step 7: Color in the fireplace with Copic markers.

Step 8: Stamp out the rest of your images from the Fireside Dreams Stamp Set and Costume Critters Stamp Set. Color them with Copic markers and then die cut them out with their coordinating die sets.

Step 9: Stamp your sentiment from the Happy Holidays Sentiments Stamps on the word bubble.

Step 10: Assemble the card! Glue your background panel directly onto an A2 card base. Use 3D foam tape to add dimension to your word bubble, tree, and pup. Use liquid glue to adhere the rest of the stamped images. Finally, add a few sequins from the new Strawberry Milk Sparkle Mix.

Thanks so much for hopping along with us! I hope you’ve enjoyed my card! Now, let’s get hopping to the next stop, which is Jarle Franceus!

Let’s Create an Ocean Scene!

Hello and Happy Tuesday, crafty friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start so far! Let’s make this Heffy Doodle Mix and Match card together!

Let’s start with the background! First, we’re going to blend a piece of white cardstock trimmed down to 4″x5.25″. Blend the top of the panel (that will be visible) with Catherine Pooler’s Pucker Up ink. Then, blend Catching Rays ink through the Rays the Roof Stencil. The Simple Sunburst Stencil would also work great here. Next, die cut one of the Silver Linings Cloud Border Dies and add a bit of the Pucker Up ink to the top of it. Now, die cut 4 of the Breaking Waves Border Dies. Ink blend the waves with Minted, Seafoam, and Skylight inks. Spritz all the ink blended areas with water. For the waves, take a bit of the Skylight and flick it with a water brush onto the waves. Do the same with the sky and clouds using Pucker Up.

Now that we have our background done and drying, we can start working on stamping and coloring! Stamp the images from the You Go, Gull and Special Delivery stamp sets. Color them with whatever medium you like! I’m using the OLO alcohol markers. Once they’re all colored, they’re ready to be die cut with the coordinating dies.

The final step is to adhere everything down to an A2 sized white card base! I’ve used my favorite Bearly Arts Precision Craft Glue to attach my clouds and top 2 waves. I’ve used 3D foam tape to attach the bottom 2 waves. Then, I’ve used 3D foam squares for the stamped images and sentiment!

For the finishing touch, I added a few sequins! Did you see the Heffy Doodlers Challenge this month on Facebook? If you like adding sequins to your projects, you might want to enter and maybe win a prize!! You can JOIN HERE!

Well, friends, I hope you’re feeling inspired from this post! Tag me on Instagram if you make a project using this as inspiration!! I’d love to see how you made it your own!! Xx, Amanda

Heffy Doodle New Release Inspiration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle New Release Inspiration Blog Hop!  We are so excited to share amazing cards from our Design Team members using the new release!  For today’s special Blog Hop, you can win a £50 voucher to the Heffy Doodle store!

I’m super excited to share the card that I made! I wanted to see how much of the New Release I could show off to you in one A2 card!
Here are the products I am showcasing:
Flock Star Stamps and Dies
Be Hoppy Stamps and Dies
Special Delivery Stamps and Dies
Build a Pond Dies
Freshly Cut Grass Dies
Ripple Waves Stencil
Sky High Cloud Backdrop Die
Stitched Birthday Trio (A2) Frame Dies (from an older release)

I love seeing how people “sketch out” their ideas for their cards, so I wanted to show you how I do it! This is how I visual the card: I knew I wanted to use the Stitched Birthday Trio Frame so I die cut that out first. Then, I lay out my stamped images and any other dies I want to use. I then take a photo so I can remember how I have things laid out!

Next, I stamp my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a piece of 3″ wide Catherine Pooler Premium Cardstock. I use 3″ so that I can fit the cardstock through my Heffy Doodle Mini Die Cutting Machine!
Flock Star Stamps and Dies
Be Hoppy Stamps and Dies
Special Delivery Stamps and Dies

I’ve also cut out my pond and grass from the Build a Pond Dies.

Now, I’m going to ink blend my pond and grass and 1 panel cutout. I’m using Catherine Pooler’s Melon Ice and Martini for the grass. I’m also using All That Jazz and Uptown for the Ripple Waves Stencil pond. I LOVE this color combo! I like to do my ink blending before coloring my stamped images so that I can make sure my stamped images coordinate with the ink colors.

For my top panel, I’m using the Sky High Cloud Backdrop Die and Limoncello ink. For my middle panel, I’m using Limoncello as well.

So, now I can color my images! I’m using OLO Alcohol Markers to color my images. I add highlights with my ABSOLUTE FAV white Gelly Roll pen.

Let’s cut these little guys out now! Like I mentioned earlier, I use 3″ wide cardstock so that I can run it through my Mini Die Cutting Machine! If you don’t have a mini die cutting machine, you HAVE to get one! They’re also available on Scrapbook.com, if you’re in the US!

Using my frame as a guide (held in place with washi tape), I’m gluing my panels down with Glubert Glue.

For my frame, I’m using Deep Foam Tape because I want it to really have a LOT of dimension!

The last step is to add my images with 3D foam squares! For some of the images, I used 2 foam squares on top of each other to get even more dimension!

Here are some close-up images!

To be entered to win the giveaway, all you need to do is comment at each stop along the Blog Hop before March 14th, 2023 at 11:59 PM EST.  The winner will be announced on the Heffy Doodle Blog on March 16th at 10:00 AM EST!

Heffy Doodle + Chibitronics IG Hop

Hey friends! Did you see we’re doing a Collaboration Hop between Heffy Doodle and Chibitronics on Instagram!? There are prizes are up for grabs!!

I created this fun light-up card using the Craft with Light Kit – White by Chibitronics. I used lots of Heffy Doodle products! Keep reading on for those links!

First, I created my bright background! I blended some Catherine Pooler inks through my Zapp Attack and Cogs & Code Stencil. I used Heffy Memo Tape to mask off the top and bottom of my card.

I stamped my images from the Bots of Love Stamp Set and then I colored them in with OLO markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Once I decided where I wanted my lights, I started to prepare for the wiring.

  1. I poked holes through the robots’ hearts where I want the bulbs to show.
  2. Then, I placed the robots on the background where they were going to be glued down once the card is assembled. I made a mark with a pencil through the robots’ heart holes onto the background.
  3. Then, I poked holes through the pencil marks on the background panel.
  4. Lastly, I used a pencil to make marks on my card base where the lights need to be placed.

On my card base, using the pencil marks I made in the last step as a guide, I’ve made marks where the + and – wires need to line up. I did this by taking the lights and placing them down onto my card base so the light was right over top of the pencil mark. Then, I looked at where the copper + and – are on the light unit and drew lines where I need the wires to be lined up to touch the copper part.

I’ve also created a “housing unit” for my battery with a plus and minus sign on it, so I know which way to insert the battery once it’s time. I also marked where I want the battery to be on the card base.

Next, I started by taking my tape and cutting it in half down the center to create smaller/narrower pieces. This isn’t necessary, but was helpful with navigating the tape.

I adhered my battery housing unit to my card base and started placing my + tape. This tape is the top wire which goes to the base of the battery housing unit.

Then, I placed my – tape which starts on the flap of the battery housing unit.

Next, I used 3D foam tape around the whole base of the card to “lift” my card front up so the battery doesn’t stick out farther than the rest of front panel. I attached the stamped images with 3D foam squares, making sure to line the robots up to the lights properly.

Come join in the IG HOP to enter to win the prizes from Heffy Doodle and Chibitronics!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Enjoy the Hop!

You can shop the BRAND NEW RELEASE HERE!

Get your Sweetie Pie stamp set for FREE with a £30 spend (not inc. shipping). And get the coordinating dies too with a £45+ spend!

To create this trifold card, I started with a sheet of cardstock trimmed to 4.5″ x 11″. I scored at the 3″ mark and the 6″ mark.

For all of my rainbow blending, I’m using Maker Forte’s Color Hive Inks in the colors Flamingo, Yellowstone, and Vegas Strip. This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE rainbow blend! You can get a huge range of colors from just these 3 colors!

Here’s how I get the best blend:
1. I start with Yellowstone and blend it in the center of my cardstock.
2. Next, I blend Flamingo on the top of my cardstock (reaching all the way to the top). I gently blend the Flamingo into the Yellowstone to create an orange color.
3. I grab my Vegas Strip and repeat the process on the bottom of the cardstock.
4. Now, I take my Vegas Strip and blend a purple at the very tippy top of the cardstock to create a pinky-purple blend.
5. Then, I get my Flamingo again and blend at the very bottom of the cardstock to create a blue-purple blend.
6. If needed, I will take my Yellowstone brush and just lightly blend into the Flamingo and Vegas Strip.
7. I usually also spritz my background with a Mister Perfect Spray Bottle filled with regular water. I will also sometimes flick white watercolor paint using a Watercolor Brush.

For this panel, I blended my rainbow using the new Bean Scene Stencil. To create a little peek-a-boo, I’m using the flap die from the Slimline Scallop Peekaboo Dies.

If you were wondering what sort of black and white paper I’m using for my striped paper, you’ll be happy to know that I made it myself! I simply used the chisel end of a marker! I wanted them to look hand-drawn, so I just freehanded it! Easy peasy!

For this little panel, I’ve used the new Notre Dame Stencil! I’ve also made some more peekaboos using the little dies from the Treemendous Peekaboo Dies.

For my front panel, I’ve used the Love is Everywhere Stencil. I have also used my new favorite tool (the Cropadile!) to add some eyelets to the front of my card to hold my baker’s twine! I made sure to add my eyelets and twine before gluing down the inside panel!

For my sentiment, I’ve used the Gumbelievable Stamp Set and stamped the sentiment on black cardstock using Embossing Glue. Then, I sprinkled white embossing powder to the sentiment and melted the powder with a heat gun.

For my super adorable shaker lollipop, I’ve used the NEW Sweet Tooth Shaker Dies! Omg, are they adorable or what?! You can make all sorts of sweets and shakers! For my stripes, I used my chisel marker again! I mixed and matched Sparkle Mixes to get all the colors of the rainbow in there.

For my adorable candy jar and gumball machine, I’ve used the Gumbelievable Stamp Set again and then added a layer of Glossy Accents over top! I used OLO markers to color all my images.

For my little circles, I used the circle confetti dies that come in the Sweet Tooth Shaker Dies.

I hope you have LOVED seeing how I made this rainbowy fun mini trifold card!

To be entered to win the giveaway, all you need to do is comment at each stop along the Blog Hop before Sept 13, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST.  The winner will be announced on the Heffy Doodle Blog on Sept 15th at 10:00 AM EST!

Holy Cow! You’re Pretty Llamazing!

Hello, crafty friends! I hope your week is off to an amazing start!! If it’s not, hopefully this bright and happy card will cheer you right up!

To make this card, I started by blending my beautiful sky background on a piece of A2 cardstock. I spritzed it with water and added some white paint drops. Next, I used my Stitched Slopey Joe Border Dies and blended them with inks as well.

I just love that the Fence Border Die works with the Slopey Joe Dies! So, I just cut that guy out with white cardstock and didn’t add anything to it.

Next, I cut my pieces from the Boats and Barns Die, including 2 barn structures. I ink blended one of the barn structures very dark red and the other barn a lighter red. I placed my darker one behind to be the “inside” of the barn. The lighter red die cut, I cut out the barn door opening and the window opening and added my other die cut pieces with glue.

Once I had my background all set, I stamped my images from the Llamazing Llamas and Udderly Fabulous Stamp Sets. Then, I colored them with Copic markers and die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

The last step is to assemble the card! I grabbed my Glubert Glue and 3D foam squares and strips and got to work!

That’s it for me today! I hope you enjoyed this post! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Xx, Amanda

Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Collaboration Blog Hop!
Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies!

I’m so excited to share this card I made with you! I absolutely adore both of these companies’ products! They work SO WELL together! Can you guess which products are from which company? Read on to see!

To create my super vibrant background, I am blending Sixteen Candles, Pixie Dust and Grape Crush through the Time for Tea Tiled Wall Stencil. Once that’s done, I am going to very gently go over the entire background with a blending brush that has leftover Sixteen Candles ink on it.

To create the forefront of my scene, I am using the leaves from the Heffy Doodle Tree-mendous Peekaboo Tree Die and blending Melon Ice and Lime Rickey onto my cutout. For the dirt hill, I am using the Heffy Doodle Slimline Scenery Dies and blending Sand Castle and Over Coffee ink onto it. I am then splattering some white acrylic paint mixed with water using a small paintbrush. I’ve also used the Silver Linings Border Dies to create some clouds for the top portion of my scene and have left them white.

Now I’m ready to stamp my little cuties! I am grabbing the Heffy Doodle Hello Squeakheart Stamp Set and the Time for Tea Cafe Critters Stamp Set. I’m coloring them with my Copic markers using purples, greens, and yellows.

I’ve cut out the word “ENJOY” using the Heffy Doodle Stitched Alphabetters Dies and used Melon Ice and Lime Rickey to color them. Once I’ve cut my stamped images out using the coordinating dies, I’m ready to start assembling my card! I’m using Heffy Doodle’s Deep Foam Tape and Glubert Glue. I’m also creating one last sentiment by stamping the word “SQUEAKHEART” from the Hello Squeakheart stamp set on black cardstock with Versamark watermark ink. Then, I’m applying white embossing powder to it and cutting the sentiment into a ribbon using my scissors.

And, voila! Don’t those little cuties look so cute?! 🙂

That’s it for me on this Hop! I hope you enjoyed my card and all the love I put into it!

Cute Critter Couples

Hello Heffy Doodle friends!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  I must be getting into the Valentine’s Day state of mind!  I had this idea of creating a card with a whole bunch of critters celebrating their love and I’m so excited about the way it turned out!  I had to mix and match a LOT of stamp sets, but it was definitely worth it!

For my critters and their accessories, I used:  Quill You Be Mine, Hello Squeakheart, Nuts About You, Mole Lotta Love, and Beary Big Heart.

I colored all my little cuties with Copic markers.

To create my card base and frame, I used the Slimeline Quartet Dies.

To create some color on my background and frame, I blended Catherine Pooler’s It’s a Girl, Samba, Oh Boy, and Something Borrowed inks.  I also spritzed my blue background with water to create some splatters.

For my grass, I used the Grassy Lass Dies and blended them with Melon Ice and Garden Party.

Finally, I assembled the card and add a few sequins for some more pizzazz!

Aren’t those cute critter couples just so stinkin’ adorable??

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!

Interactive Slider Baby Shower Card

Well hey there, crafty friends!  I sure hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  Did you get any crafty goodies?!  I hope so!!

Today, I’m sharing a Baby Shower card!  I love interactive cards and the Slider Pop-up Dies make it so easy to make one quickly!

To create this card, I have blended some gorgeous Catherine Pooler blues on my cutouts from the Slider Pop-up Dies . Next, I’m spritzing the ink with water.

I’ve stamped my images from the Beary Big Heart and Chimply the Best stamp sets.  Now, I’m ready to start coloring the images with Copic markers!

To create my leaves, I am using both the Amazonian Leaves and Forest Leaves Dies.  To color the leaves, I used Limoncello and Tiara inks.  I am gluing my leaves, sequins, and monkey on using Glubert Glue.

Using the Classic Sentiments stamp set and the Chimply the Best stamp set, I’ve created my sentiment on a piece of white cardstock.

Voila!  So easy and fun!  Plus, it will make a great Baby Shower card that is sure to be gushed over!

Heffy Doodle, Maker Forte, and SugarPea Designs Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle, Maker Forte, and SugarPea Designs Collaboration Blog Hop!
Design Team members from all three companies are sharing inspiration using products from all three companies!

Today, I am sharing 2 cards that I made using tons of awesome products from these companies!

For my interactive pull tab and slider card, I’m starting by stamping my images from the Heffy Doodle Otter Side and You Go, Gull stamp sets and the Sugar Pea Designs Captain of My Heart and Waves of Love stamp sets. To ensure I get a really crisp stamped image, I’m using my Smoosher Tool from Maker Forte and my MISTI. I’m coloring my images with Copic markers and then cutting the images out with my Die Cutting Machine.

Next, I’m ready to create my background and pull tab element. I am blending Yellowstone Color Hive ink and Rah Rah Skirt Ink to create my sky. I’ve also used a Splatter Stamp, Clear Ink, and Kaleidoscope Powder to create some metallic gold splatters in my background. For my pull-tab element, I’m using the Slimline Pull Tab Dies.

Now I’m ready to create my waves. I’m using some colored cardstock and the Breaking Waves Dies, plus the Wavy Water Slides to create my coordinating wave slider.

I’m ready to start assembling! I’m using Deep Foam tape, Glubert Glue and SuperTape to adhere my pieces to my card.

To create this shadow box card, I first cut my pieces out using the Heffy Doodle Big Shadow Box Dies. I cut the front piece and side pieces down using the Slopey Joe Border Dies. For my sides, I blended Yellowstone Color Hive ink and then added crabs using the Rah Rah Skirt Ink and the Just a Pinch Stencil.

For my front, I created sand using Copic markers. For my waves, I used the Breaking Waves Dies.

For my images, I am using the same sets as my first card. I’ve stamped my images, used Copic markers to color them, and now I’m attaching my little fishies and birds to small strips of acetate.

To make assembling my card easier, I am using my favorite Rainbow Tweezers.

And, that’s it! Both cards completed!

Heffy Doodle and Sunny Studio Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Sunny Studio Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop!
Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies!

I couldn’t choose just 1 card, so I decided to make 2!

Whenever I’m starting a card, I like to lay my stamps out on my card base to get an idea of what the card will look like. After doing that, I got blended my background using Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick, and Dusty Concord Distress Oxides.

The next step is stamping and coloring! I stamped images from the Heffy Doodle Chimply the Best, Wingman, Hootiful, and Beary Big Heart stamp sets. From Sunny Studio Stamps, I stamped images from the Silly Sloths stamp set.

For my sentiments, I used the word bubbles from the Whatcha Sayin’ stamp set. I also used a sentiment from the Silly Sloth stamp set.

Once I had all of my elements ready, I used 3D foam squares and strips to adhere everything to my background.

For my other card, I used Chimply the Best and Silly Sloths again. I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers.

For my background and border, I used the UnbeLEAFable Stencil and the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I wanted my border to stick out farther than regular 3D foam adhesive, so I used the Deep Foam Tape.

I created leaves with the Amazonian Leaves Dies and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide. Finally, I started adhering everything to my card front with glue and 3D foam squares and strips.

Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs products, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!

CARD 1 – Slimline Hamster Slider

CARD 1 PRODUCTS USED:
HEFFY DOODLE:
Slimline Pull Tab Dies
Stitched Slimline Trio Dies
Grassy Lass Border Dies
Bold Banner Sentiments Stamps
Bold Banner Sentiments Dies
Wavy Water Slides Dies
Colored Cardstock

TIME FOR TEA DESIGNS:
Hooray Hamster Stamps
Hooray Hamster Dies

To make this fun slider slimline card, I’m going to start with the Slimline Pull Tab Dies and the Stitched Slimline Trio Dies. I am using the Colored Cardstock from Heffy Doodle as well as 80 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock.
Using the Grassy Lass Border Dies, I’m going to create 2 little hills for the hamsters to roll down. I am using G00, G40, and G12 Copic markers to color my hills.
I’m positioning the Wavy Water Slides Dies so that they’re hidden behind the grass.

I am stamping my little Hooray Hamster Stamps and then coloring the images with my Copic markers.
I am using: 0, BG32, BG11, BG10, BG0000
E00, E50, E30, E31, E34, E11, E13, E40, E42, E43

For the slider portion, I’m going to cut 2 extra wheels, plus 2 small circles (these are from Lawn Fawn’s Reveal Wheel dies), and grab 2 brads.
First, I’m attaching my colored hamster to the colored wheel.
Next, I’m attaching my extra wheel to my small circle with a brad.
Now, I’m going to put foam squares on the wheel and attach both wheels to each other. This will allow the hamster wheel to turn in circles.
I’m cutting down a small circle to be my slide and then attaching a strip of acetate to it.
Once I adhere my grass to the front of the card, I will adhere my hamster wheel to the acetate strip.

I stamped my sentiments, adhered my grass using 3D foam strips, and then attached my hamsters. Now my hamsters can turn in circles and slide down the hill at the same time!

CARD 2 – Wingman Toucan Shadow Box

CARD 2 PRODUCTS USED:
HEFFY DOODLE PRODUCTS:
Big Shadow Box Die
Wingman Stamps
Wingman Dies
UnbeLEAFable Stencil

TIME FOR TEA PRODUCTS:
Toucan Do This Stamps
Toucan Do This Dies

For this tropical card, I’m starting with the Big Shadow Box Die and some dark cardstock. Using the UnbeLEAFable Stencil and embossing paste, I’m creating the pattern on both sides (letting it dry before flipping over to the other side.)

While that dries, I’m going to stamp my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color my images with Copic markers. Click on any photo to view it larger.

After die cutting my images, I’m ready to start assembling the card! I am using liquid glue and 3D foam squares to adhere all the images. I am using double sided tape to construct the shadow box.
For my bird swing, I am using a small hole punch to put a hole on top of the swing and then using yellow and white baker’s twine to make a bow. I’m attaching it to an acetate strip. I am also attaching my yellow bird to an acetate strip so that he can fly back and forth.

PRIZES:
Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs will each be giving away a 25£ to their respective stores.
Winners will be chosen randomly and announced on July 28th on the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs blogs.

Heffy Doodle New Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle Release Blog Hop! The new release is now available for purchase from Heffy Doodle and official retailers, and we are celebrating with lots of inspiration and a giveaway, too!

To create this card, I am using the following products:
A Little Shellfish Stamps | A Little Shellfish Dies | Breaking Waves Border Dies | Wavy Water Slides Dies | Silver Linings Cloud Border Dies | Heffy Doodle Colored Cardstock | More Strips of Ease Dies

To make this fun interactive card, I’m going to set up my background. With the Breaking Waves Border Dies and the colored cardstock from Heffy Doodle. I’m using 2 of my wave dies as sand, instead of water. For those 2, I’m going to add a little dimension with my Copic E41 and E42 markers. I’m also going to create my slides for my critters using the coordinating Wavy Water Slides Dies.

I stamped my A Little Shellfish images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and am coloring my images with Copic markers and a white Gelly Roll pen.
Blues: B000, B00, B02
Reds: R30, R32, R35, R27
Greens: G12, G02
Blue-Greens: BG10, BG11, BG13
Earth: E41, E42

After laying everything out, I’ve decided to get rid of the dark blue background and use some Silver Linings Clouds and another light blue background instead.

For my sentiments, I’m using Versamark Watermark ink and white embossing powder on black cardstock. I am using scissors, a paper trimmer, and More Strips of Ease die to cut them down.

Now I’m ready to start putting the card together! I’m cutting my lobster’s claw open so he can hold the pinwheel. I’m using buttons and 3D foam squares to adhere my sliding critters. I’m also doubling and tripling up on 3D foam adhesive so the critters can move smoothly! And voila! All done!

Happy Purrthday!

Hello crafty friends! I hope everyone is staying healthy!

I wanted to share this cute card I made using Heffy Doodle’s Hello Squeakheart and Purrfect Day stamp sets.

I’m using Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp all of my images.

I’m coloring in my images with Copic markers.

For my background, I’m using this brick background stamp and Hickory Smoke distress oxide. I’m also cutting a stitched border with a die and black cardstock.

I’m using 3D foam squares, strips, and glue to adhere everything to my card.

Here are a few close-ups of the finished card!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Xoxo, Amanda

Heffy Doodle Catherine Pooler Collaboration Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Catherine Pooler Designs Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some inspiration with the new Heffy Doodle and Catherine Pooler releases, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!

I had such a fun time playing with the new releases! The Catherine Pooler inks are so juicy and amazing! I had to make more than just one card!

Card 1

For the first card, I’m starting with these beautiful colors of Catherine Pooler inks: Mardi Gras, Aquatini, Mint To Be, Tutti Frutti, and Coral Cabana. The flowers are from the So Happy stamp set.

I am using one of the dies from the Fancy Nancy Frames set to create a cutout in the center of the top of my card front.

I’m using the Happy X Three dies to cut out a black inline and a white outline for my sentiment.

On a piece of Heffy Doodle Cherry on Top cardstock that I cut down to A2 size, I am placing my Fancy Foliage stencil and blending the pattern using Candied Apple and Fired Brick distress ink/oxide.

Now, I’m ready to stamp my Quill You Be Mine images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This ink works well with Copic markers, which I will use to color in my stamped images.
Body: E41, E42, E43, R21, white Gelly Roll pen
Quills: E44, E43, and E42
Balloons (on 2nd attempt!): G0000, G00, and G02

After using the coordinating dies to cut my images out, I’m ready to start putting my card together. I’m using foam tape and squares to create a 3D layers.

I’m stamping my sentiment on black cardstock using Versamark Watermark ink. I’m adding white detail embossing powder and using my heat gun to emboss it. I am cutting down small strips of 1/8” foam tape and putting it on the back of my “happy” piece.

Now I’m ready to add my sentiments and it’s all done!

Card 2

For the next card, I’m going to make a slimline card, using the same Catherine Pooler inks and So Happy stamp set. I’m starting by laying out where I want things to be. I’m going to use some masking tape to cover the sentiment “HAPPY” because I’m going to stamp that in a different color. After stamping my sentiments, I’m using one of the Fancy Nancy frames to create some peek-a-boo cutouts. I’m using the Mint to Be ink pad to blend a background that will be peeking through my cutouts.

I’m stamping my bugs from the Big Bug Hugs and coloring them with Copic markers.

Now, I’m ready to adhere everything to the card using 3D foam adhesive!

Catherine Pooler and Heffy Doodle will be respectively giving away a $25 and a 25£ gift certificate to their stores! Make sure to comment on each post in the hop for your chance to win!
Winner will be chosen randomly and announced on Tuesday, February 25th on the Heffy Doodle and Catherine Pooler blogs.

Heffy Doodle New Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle Release Blog Hop! The new release is now available for purchase from Heffy Doodle and official retailers, and we are celebrating with lots of inspiration and a giveaway, too!

I am so in love with this new stamp set Pasta La Vista! It’s so versatile because you can add the hands, legs, faces and bows or leave them out! Plus, the sentiments are seriously amazing! Of course, you’ll want the coordinating dies as well!

To make this card, I am starting with a piece of white 110# Neenah Solar White cardstock. I am creating a blue background by blending “Tumbled Glass”, “Salty Ocean” and “Blueprint Sketch” distress oxides.

Tip: To avoid fingerprints on your background, use a piece of Memo Tape to hold your cardstock in place.

Next, I am cutting a Lawn Fawn PeekaBoo Backdrop. I have not glued my frame down yet, I’m just using it as a guide to place my sentiment. I am stamping my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

I am using Darice 3D foam adhesive strips on the back of my backdrop.

Now, I’m ready to stamp my Pasta La Vista images! I am using Memento Tuxedo Black ink again because it’s Copic-friendly and I’m going to be using my Copic markers to color my images.

Tip: If you stamp more than you need, stick your extras back in the your stamp/die envelope!

Another tip: Use a pencil eraser to control your new stamps, since they are stickier and harder to handle with your fingers.

Time to color (my fav!!!)

We’re ready to die cut with the coordinating Pasta La Vista dies!

I’m putting 3D foam adhesive squares on the back of my pasta images.

Tip: Don’t remove the backing yet. Lay everything on your card where you think you like it first. That way, you can see what it looks like 3D before committing.

I’m thinking I need more leaves and another bow, so I’m going to go ahead and stamp and die cut those now!

Now, I’m ready to remove my backing from all my 3D foam and place my stamped images on the card! I’m using this little sticky tool to help place my legs and arms where I want them before I glue them all down.

I’m going to use a glue pen to adhere my little legs and arms because they’re so tiny.

The legs that are together have too much white space in them, so I’m just going to cut them down with my scissors.

I feel like the card is lacking something, so I’m using the Whatcha Sayin’ Stamp and Dies to add another little fun element to the card!

Now, I’m just going to adhere my word bubble down and it’s all finished!

Thank you so much for hopping along with us!
