Hello Squeak Heart

Hey guys!! I’m really excited to share this card with you!

I used Heffy Doodle’s “Hello Squeakheart” stamp set to create this adorable scene!

Keep scrolling to see how I put this card together!

I started by setting up my scene. This die is called “Peek-a-Boo Backdrop” by Lawn Fawn. I love it’s versatility and use it all the time!

I like to lay out my stamps on my backdrop, so that I can get an idea of how my scene will look. This is sort of the look I’m going for:

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink because it is very Copic-friendly.

Then, I went ahead and started coloring my images! The photos show each of the markers used for each component.

Next, I took my background piece of cardstock and blended an “ombre” backgruond with Scattered Straw and Squeezed Lemonade.

I used Darice foam strips to give my frames some dimension.

I adhered everything with 3D foam adhesives and glue.

Once I had everything adhered, I wanted to add extra fun to the card! I stamped some more cheese and some sunflower seeds and colored them using the same Copic markers as above!

I adhered my new stamped images using 3D foam squares. I cut some of the squares in half for my sunflower seeds because they were too big. I also used a few Sunshine Crystals from Ink Road.

That’s it! Thanks so much for coming to my blog!!!

Xoxo,

Amanda

You're the Sweetest Gift Card Holder

Hi friends!

This is just the sweetest little shaker card with a gift card holder on the inside!

See the tutorial below! (Scroll all the way to the bottom to see the Copic markers I used!)

Start with a piece of 10.25″ x 5.5″ white card stock. Score it at 4″, flip the card 180° and score again at 2″.

I used a super pointy tool to make a hole in my card front. I measure it with a ruler to make sure I centered it correctly.

Next, I rounded all the edges with corner punch. This amazing 3 Corner Punch is from Dress My Craft and has 3 different options. I used R7mm, but any corner punch will do.

For the gift card holder that goes inside the card, I cut a piece of card stock to 4.25″ x 2.5″. Then, I scored it at 1″ and 3.25″. Then, I turned it 180° and scored at the 2″ mark.

This adorable Mini Score Board is also from Dress My Craft. It is my go-to score board because it’s so tiny and doesn’t take up any space!

I cut a diagonal line and then a straight line to create a better fold.

Using some Stitched Circle dies, I created a shaker. These Angel Mix and Pearls shaker elements are from Dress My Craft. I blended everything with Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar distress oxides.

After figuring out where I wanted to place my shaker circle, I needed to cut out a circle from the flap so that the card would close properly. I held my die in place with some purple tape and then ran it through my die cut machine.

I used a Dotted Hearts background stamp from Simon Says Stamp along with Shaded Lilac distress oxide. I blended the entire card using Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar.

I made a smaller circle die cut for the top portion of the card. And then I made one tiny circle that will be used to wrap my twine around.

I blended all the circles with Distress Oxides.

I stamped, colored, and die cut my Avery Elle “Peek-a-Boo Pals”. Please see the end of the post for the colors used.

Next, I got my littlest circle ready for a brad and the twine.

Next, I stamped a few sentiments onto black card stock with Versamark watermark. I heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Next, I adhered all my components to the front of the card, using glue and 3D foam dots.

For the inside fo the card, I stamped a sentiment onto my gift card holder.

I used super sticky double sided tape to hold my gift card holder together and placed it in the center of the inside of the card.

Next I adhered my hippo, being sure that the gift card would be able to go BEHIND the hippo.

I cut a piece of white card stock and rounded the edges. I adhered it on the left flap.

All finished!! Here are some more photos! (Keep scrolling down for the Copic markers used.)

For the bunny: W00, W1, W2, W3, W4 and RV10.

For the Hippo: C00, C1, C3, C4, and RV10.

For the Monkey: E40, E41, E42, E43, E0000, E02, and RV10.

For the Party Hats: V12, V15, V17, BV000, BV02, and BV04.

I used a white Gelly pen for the highlights.

Thanks for Bee-ing There

Hi guys! Amanda here!

I wanted to share this super cute bee card with you! Keep scrolling to see how I made this card!

I used 1 die from the Honey Bee’s “Hexagon Patterns” die set to create a honey comb pattern.

I used a pencil to trace my honeycomb pattern so i would know where to color.

Using different combinations of my yellow Copic markers, I colored in my honeycomb. I colored 2 of my die cut hexagons as well.

Using some Black Soot distress ink and a water brush, I made some black speckles on my card front.

I used a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp “Bee Yourself” stamp set. From the same set, I stamped 2 little bees and colored them with my yellow and gray Copic markers. Then, I die cut my bees with the coordinating dies.

After figuring out the placement of my bees, I stamped a few dotted lines (also from the “Bee Yourself” stamp set).

Here are some more photos! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wishing You Sunshiny Days

If you don’t have any Avery Elle Peek-a-Boo Pals in your crafty collection, you are missing out! This stamp set is “Peek-a-Boo Summer Pals”. To see more photos and how I made this card, please keep reading on!! Enjoy!!

Here’s how I put this card together:

1. Start with the My Favorite Things Inside and Out Stitched Rectangle dies.

2. Place them on the A2 100# Neenah cardstock for your DIY frames. (I use Purple tape to hold them in place. I re-use the same pieces of tape over and over until it’s no longer sticky.)

3. Now it’s time to stamp your images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I use this ink pad because it works well with Copic markers. I use the MISTI stamping tool to stamp with.

I grabbed a sentiment bubble from the Avery Elle “Peek-a-Boo Pets” as well.

4. Start coloring!!

I used Y0000, Y000, Y00, Y11, Y21, Y32, and Y26 for the seahorse.

I used R0000, R00, R01, R02, and R05 for the crab.

I used C1, C3, B0000, B000, B00, B21, and B34 for the shark.

For the shark’s belly, I used C00, C0, C1, and C3.

I used a white Gelly Roll pen to create some highlights on my stamped images.

5. Use the coordinating dies to cut your images out.

(Side note… I used the white gel pen on my word bubble, but didn’t like the way it looked. I ended up re-stamping the word bubble again.)

6. I used the “inside” squares to create little backgrounds for each frame.

For the biggest square, I used Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean distress oxides. I used this wave stencil from Pretty Pink Posh.

(You can use tape on the BACK of your square to hold your stencil in place!)

For my medium square, I used Candied Apple distress oxide and this Abstract Background stamp from My Favorite Things.

I used a makeup blending brush to blend in the square with Abandoned Coral.

For the smallest little guy, I used all my yellow Copics (that I used for the seahorse). I made the edges darker and got lighter in the center.

7. I decided to stamp this cute little sentiment from the Summer Pals set. I used Versafine Onyx Black because I like how deep and crisp this stamp pad makes the sentiment look.

8. I used 3D foam tape from Darice all along my frame cardstock.

9. I adhered that to a plain piece of 110# Neenah cardstock.

10. I put this super sticky Sookwang tape on the back of each of my squares and adhered them to the card.

11. I used 3D foam circles from Darice to adhere my stamped images.

12. The seahorse was lonely in his square, so I decided to give him some waves! This is a cheap stamp set I found at Michael’s years ago. It doesn’t even have a name! But the waves were perfect, so I stamped them in Salty Ocean distress oxide.

13. I fussy cut my waves out with my Tonic scissors.

14. I used B05 Copic to color in the white spots that I missed on the waves.

15. I used more 3D foam circles to adhere the waves to the card.

16. I then added the cute seahorse behind the wave. I had to add his little fins in the tight space behind him and the in front of the wave.

17. I used this sun die from My Favorite Things “Sun, Moon, and Stars”.

18. I cut it down so that it would fit behind the shark.

19. I colored it in with Y000, Y00, and Y11.

20. I used my sticky double sided tape to adhere it to the card.

21. I added sequins for the finishing touch! I used Gina K Connect glue and some tweezers!

Tropical Birds – Just Because

I can’t get enough of this release from Pretty Pink Posh! The whole release coordinates so well together!

Keep reading to see how I put this card together!

First, I used these diamond dies from The Stamp Market:

On my background piece of card stock, I blended Lucky Clover and Cracked Pistachio distress oxides.

I wanted to add a little more excitement to my diamonds, so I used a Sharpie to add dot borders to each diamond.

I used Darcy 3D strip adhesives to adhere my foreground diamond piece to my background.

(I should’ve done this part first, but didn’t decide I wanted to use the stencil until it was too late!)

I used Tattered Rose distress ink and this stencil (from Pretty Pink Posh).

I stamped all my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with Copic markers and used my white Gelly Roll pen for the highlights. The copics I used are in a photo below.

I adhered them using Darcy 3D foam circles.

I used some sentiments from the Stamp Market’s “Bear Hugs” stamp set and then die cut them with some word bubbles dies.

I adhered them with the same Darcy 3D foam circles.

I adhered my smaller stamps and embellishments last.

I used Gina K Connect glue for my gems (from Pretty Pink Posh, as well).

And voila! All finished! See below for close-up photos!

Have a Chill Summer

Using stamping mask paper, I stamped my 3 penguins from the “So Cool” stamp set from Pink and Main. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink – since I would be using Copics to color my penguins.

I went ahead and cut my little penguins out with my cute little tonic scissors.

CONFESSION TIME:

I actually did everything below 2 times. The washi tape was NOT a good idea – it ripped up my card stock when I pulled it off. I ended up doing it again just using post-it notes! So in the steps below, DON’T use washi tape! Use masking paper or post-it notes! 🙂

I stamped my penguins above the washi tape / post-it notes.

Then I put their masks over top of them.

Then I stamped my middle guy.

And put his mask over him.

I stamped my sentiment.

When I re-made this card with post-it notes, I didn’t stamp my sentiment until the very end (since the post-its were in my way).

I blended the top portion using Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron, and Cracked Pistachio. I focused the Twisted Citron in the center and then went darker towards the edges.

I removed my masks.

Then, I colored in my little penguins using the Copic colors shown below.

I added some droplets with Nuvo drops on my frozen treats.

Here’s another look at the final card!

You're Going Places

I created this card for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #440! I loved the sketch and thought it’d be a fun challenge!

I used the “Up in the Air” stamp set and coordinating dies from My Favorite Things.

I thought it would be fun to have the balloons and bird inset. I put the stamps where I wanted them (using the sketch as a guide). Then I put my dies in approximately the same location on another piece of cardstock.

I ran them through my die cut machine. This piece of cardstock will be my forefront of my card.

I had to lay my stamps on the other piece of card stock so they’d line up with the die cuts. This was a little tricky, so I tried it a few ways.

In the photo below, I put my stamp down (in my MISTI, so I’d be ready to stamp right away) in approximately where I thought it would go. Then, I checked to see if it was in the correct spot. I just nudged it one way or the other until it looked centered.

(I closed the lid to pick up the big balloon stamp so I wouldn’t accidentally move it.)

Another method I tried was to center it first (holding it behind the die cut) and then laying it down on the cardstock. That didn’t work at all! So I ended up nudging it until it lined up again.

(I shut the lid and picked up the smaller balloon.)

Since I already had the 2 balloons in place, it was easier to place the bird. I held it in FRONT of the die cut bird. Then, I lined up the cardstock with the 2 balloons. That was easier – but only because I already had the balloons set correctly.

FINALLY – ready for some ink! 🙂 I used Memento Black ink because I was going to use Copics to color in my images.

(You might notice that even though I just put all that effort into lining up my images and die cuts, it STILL didn’t end up perfect!! Oh well!!)

I lined up my sentiment so that I could find out where to make my cut on the “forefront” cardstock.

I made my cut so that it’d be about 1/8″ above my sentiment.

I stamped my sentiment with Versafine to get a more crisp and bold sentiment. (I wish I could use it all the time, but it doesn’t do so well with Copics!)

On my die cut piece of cardstock, I wanted to do clouds. I used this stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I wanted to have an ombre/fading effect, so I used a lot more ink at the top and then gradually lightened my blending towards the bottom. I used Tumbled Glass distress oxide.

See the below image for the colors of Copics I used on the balloons and bird.

I used 3D foam tape to adhere my forefront to my base.

I realized that I wanted to put another 3D cloud strip on the bottom of my card – so I had to get my distress oxide, blending brush, and stencil back out (*sigh* – have to clean it all again!) I added some quick, light clouds. I added 3D foam tape to this strip and adhered it to the base.

I used Nuvo drops and sequins to add a little more pizzazz!

Now to enter it into the MFT Challenge!!

Super quick + simple Dad card

Because – let’s be honest – is Dad really going to hold and treasure this handmade card forever? Or is it likely to hit the bottom of the trash can before the end of Father’s Day? 😉

I used this pearlized navy card stock that I purchase from The Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby.

This “Deco Borders and Corners” stamp set is from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped with VersaMark Watermark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I stuck it back in my MISTI and did a smaller border on the top of the card.

These awesome DAD sentiments are from My Favorite Things. I used the same process on the sentiments that I used for the border.

Voila! So easy and only a few minutes to make!

Just wanted to say…

Hey ya’ll! Just wanted to share this super sweet SHAKER card with you and let you know how I made it!

I started off with this really fun background stamp from My Favorite Things. I used my anti-static tool from EK Tools to remove the static before stamping my background with Versamark Watermark ink.

I used clear embossing powder on the stamped image. Then, heat embossed with my heat gun.

I used Candied Apple and Abandoned Coral distress oxides with a blending makeup brush.

Pro Tip: Wipe off the excess ink/oxide with a paper towel. Some of the ink/oxide will sit on top of the embossed image, but will not stick to it. Later on, that might come off on your hand or another part of your card! Save yourself the heartbreak! 🙂

I used these diamond die cuts from The Stamp Market. With this crazy background, it was hard for me to “eyeball” where the dies would line up correctly.

Pro Tip: Use a “L” or “T” ruler to line up dies and then use washi tape to hold them there!

I grabbed another piece of white card stock for my base. On this one, I used Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover with a different blending makeup brush. (I only needed to blend where the diamonds would be.)

I started stamping my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I chose this stamp pad because it works well with Copic alcohol markers! I used My Favorite Things “Aussie Friends” stamp set along with Avery Elle’s “Peek-a-Boo Pals” set.

I knew I wanted a limited color palette, so I stuck with muted greens that matched the distress oxides I used for the card base. (G46 and YG45)

Gray is always a great neutral, so I didn’t have to worry about which grays I used. I decided to use T3, T5, and T7 for my koala.

I used B41 for the Kookaburra’s wings. I tried to make it as subtle as possible because I was still trying to stick with that limited color palette. I used E40 and E41 for the rest of the bird’s feathers. I used T3 and T5 for his beak.

I kept with the T’s for my grays so they would all coordinate with each other nicely. I used T4, T5, and T6 for the panda. I used R20 and R32 for his pink spots.

I wanted to make the trunk of the tree subtle as well, so I did a light layer of E43 and E41.

For the shaker portion of the card, I grabbed my Acetate sheets. I cut a piece down that would be about 1/8″ – 1/4″ away from the edges of my card base. Then I used some foam adhesive strips all the way around the perimeter of my card base (again, 1/8″ – 1/4″ away from the edges), making sure that I didn’t leave any holes around the perimeter.

Pro Tip: Don’t pull the white sticker backing off of the adhesive strips yet! Wait until you’ve added all your sequins, glitter, prills, beads, etc. That way, nothing sticks to your adhesive strips!

After pulling of the white backing, I placed my acetate sheet on top. I then used a really tiny adhesive around the perimeter of the acetate sheet.

After pulling off the backing of that adhesive, I placed my pink diamond card stock on top, lining up the edges carefully.

I placed all my stamped images where I thought I wanted them.

Pro Tip: Snap a quick photo on your phone of your card at this step (just in case you start adhering pieces onto your card and forget where you had everything.)

Next, I started adhering everything where I wanted them using 3D foam dots and flat double sided tape.

Then, I was ready for my sentiments! I used these from the same Avery Elle stamp set. I used VersaMark watermark ink and used white embossing powder.

I embossed them with my heat gun.

I cut them down to the size I needed with my cutter.

I had to cut them down even farther, so I just used my scissors.

I used Connect glue from Gina K to adhere my black and gray sequins.

I added a few more clear drops with some Nuvo drops.

And that’s it! Make sure to tag me if you try this technique! @craftyandcreativevibes

Cocktails ARE the Answer :)

This card has a mix of quite a few products!

The palm tree is from Mama Elephant’s “Summer Days” stamp set.

The flamingo, flowers, sentiment and cocktail are from My Favorite Things’ “Let’s Flamingle” stamp set.

The background is from My Favorite Things.

The smaller sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps’ “Tiny Words” stamp set.

See below for the step-by-step process!

Using my anti-static powder, my Versamark watermark stamp pad and my background stamp, I stamped the image on a piece of cardstock.

I used white Wow! embossing powder on the stamped image and then heat embossed it with my heat gun.

I cut off about 1/4″ of the length and width of the card stock.

I used Squeezed Lemonade and Scattered Straw distress inks to make a blended background.

I used a paper towel to wipe off the ink that was on top of the embossed parts.

Here’s the finished background.

I used a couple of dies to create a scalloped edge stitched border that I will put on top of my yellow background cardstock.

I stamped my flamingo and my palm tree with Memento Black ink and then colored them in with my Copic markers.

I used clear Nuvo drops on just the wing of the flamingo to create some dimension.

I used a pin to pull the drops where I wanted them.

Once I set my flamingo and palm tree on the background, I realized I needed some more “props”, so I stamped a couple flowers and a cocktail.

For my sand, I used the Get Grounded stamp set from Ink Blot Shop. I used Rich Cocoa from Memento.

I colored the sand in with my Copic markers.

I fussy cut the sand out with scissors.

I also fussy cut the space between the flamingo’s legs because it was driving me crazy! 🙂

Then I started adhering all the pieces to the yellow background. I used 3d foam and also flat double sided tape. I used glue on the smaller pieces.

I used the same process for both of my sentiments. I used the Versamark watermark stamp pad, my anti-static powder and white Wow! embossing powder. I heat embossed with my heat gun.

I adhered them with 3d foam strips.

I used these sequins and glued them down with Gina K connect glue.

Here’s a few more photos of the finished card!

Missing You Polaroid

I am just obsessed with these little Peek-a-Boo Pals from Avery Elle!! I love how versatile they are! Read on to see how I threw this card together!

I stamped my little pals with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them in with my Copic markers.

I used a blending brush (aka a makeup brush that I bought for cheap on Amazon!) to blend Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover distress oxides onto my Impression Obsession background stamp.

I used this polaroid die from Hello Bluebird to get one polaroid picture.

I used the same distress oxides to fill in the entire square.

On a scrap piece of black card stock, I stamped my sentiments using Versamark watermark.

I embossed with white powder and set it with my heat gun.

I used my white Gelly Roll pen to fill in my hearts. I die cut them using these word bubbles that came with this polaroid die set.

I used 3D foam adhesive to attach everything to my background.

Then I glued on some white string to give it a little more pizzazz!

Here’s another photo of the finished card!

Peek-a-Boo Pals

These little guys from Avery Elle are so versatile and perfect for peeking out of any shapes! Read below to see how I made this card step-by-step.

I started with these diamond dies from The Stamp Market.

I used this Stitched die border next.

On another piece of cardstock, I created a Distress Oxide background using Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover.

I sprinkled some water on the finished background with a water brush.

I used 3D foam tape to adhere the front piece to the background.

I grabbed my Peek-a-Boo pals with their little paws and a few party hats. I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink, since I wanted to use Copics to color the little guys in.

For the tiniest party hat, I used YG01, 03, 07, and 09.

For the cutie little panda, I used N0, 2, 4, 6, and R11.

For the elephant, I used T0, 1, 2, 3 and R11.

I used C00, 0, 2, and R11 for the koala.

I used YG01 and 03 for the bigger party hat.

I used the coordinating dies to cut out all my little pals and paws.

I used 3D foam tape behind the pals and used glue for the paws.

I decided to add some grass here and there, but ended up not using most of them. 🙂

I used glue to put some of the grasses behind the pals.

I layed some green sequins out where I wanted them and then used glue to adhere them.

I used green Nuvo drops as well.

At this point, I realized I forgot to put some sort of sentiment on the card! 🙂 Normally, I would’ve done the sentiments first before my sequins and Nuvo drops. I ended up doing the sentiments last and covered up a sequin and drop when I adhered them! Whoops! That’s card making for ya!

So I used Versamark watermark to stamp my sentiments (after dusting my cardstock with my anti-static tool.

I used my heat gun to heat emboss it.

Then I cut them into strips.

I used scissors to create angled edges on the strips.

I used glue and 3D foam on the “Thank You” sentiment and just glue on the other one.

Once I got my sentiments on, I realized I needed some more black to even it out. So I used the heart dies that are included in the Peek-a-Boo pals die set.

I then glued them on where I thought they balanced out the sentiments.

Here’s another look at the final card! Thanks for reading!

Monster Birthday

Scroll down to see more images and how I made this card!

This Monster Love stamp set is from Concord and 9th and I think it is just the cutest! There are so many monster and accessory options! So sweet!

For the background, I used post-its to mask off the bottom so I could do this brick background (from IO stamps) using Hickory Smoke distress oxide.

Then I masked off the top and used E23 and E35 to make a floor.

I die cut a “2” and then colored it in.

I stamped my Monster Love stamps and then colored them in.

I die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I glued the “2” on my balloon.

And glued the monster’s arms where I wanted them.

I put 3D foam tape on all my images and adhered them to the background.

I used Nuvo crystal drops for a little added pizzazz!

Peek-a-Boo Card (without special interactive dies)

I recently watched a Jennifer McGuire video where she made a peek-a-boo interactive card. I didn’t have some of the dies she had, but I was determined to try it out anyway!

(See the video of the Peek-a-Boo on my instagram @craftyandcreativevibes )

Note: This seems like it’s a ton of work, but once you get the hang of it, it’s SO easy. It took me an hour to do it the first time! The second time only took a few minutes! I tried to take photos of every step, but if you’d be interested in a video tutorial of the process, just let me know!!

I used this background die from Lawn Fawn for the front of my card.

I placed a blank piece of card stock behind that piece and traced the “window” onto the blank piece.

I found a piece of plastic in our recycling that I could use as the “belt” mechanism. I cut a strip of plastic that was around 1/2″ wide. You could use any type of smooth plastic, such as a Ziploc bag. I’m using a packaging bubble that I cut to remove the air out of it.

On the back piece that has the traced window, I drew 2 lines that were about 3/4″ wide, directly in the center of the sheet. They need to be outside of the “window”. The farther apart they are from each other, the better.

Then, using an Exacto knife, I cut slits on the lines. They don’t have to be perfect because they won’t be seen. The most important thing is that your piece of plastic can move through it freely.

I put my piece of plastic through the 2 slits. You want them to overlap on the back (the side that doesn’t have your traced window).

Next, use a strong double sided tape to attach the overlapped pieces.

Don’t pull it tight when you’re adhering them together! You want there to be some “give” so that the plastic can rotate easily. But, you don’t want it to be too loose either! I ended up having to redo this a few times my first go-round! I ended up making it loose enough so that my finger could fit underneath it and not so loose that the plastic would overhang at the bottom.

Cut off any extra overlap plastic.

This is the view from the front.

On the back piece of card stock that has the window traced on it, I wanted to create a background, so I grabbed my Hog Heaven fence from My Favorite Things and my Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

I only colored in the part of the grass that fell “inside” the traced “window”.

My dog is going to be my peek-a-boo element. So I stamped him out (from You Make My Tail Wag from MFT) and colored him in.

Note: Make sure on the BACK of this sheet, your tape is at the TOP slit! (Like it is in the photo below:)

Now, on the front, place more double-sided tape on the plastic “belt” at the BOTTOM slit.

You want to put the dog’s toes (or near there) on the tape. Do not tape the top of him at all to the belt.

I also placed my sentiment at this time.

Now flip it over and place another piece of double-sided tape near the TOP slit.

Cut a 1/2″W x 3.5″L piece of cardstock. This will be your “PULL” tab, so it can be any color really. Place this piece on the double-sided tape so that there’s about a 1/2″ sticking out from the bottom. You just need to make sure your recipient can pull the piece, so make sure it’s sticking out enough for their fingers.

(At this point, you can test your Peek-A-Boo and make sure it will work. When you pull the tab, your dog should pop up in the front. If it’s not working, now is the time to fix it! You may have to cut another piece of plastic or use a different dog. It might be trial and error your first time around.

On my other piece of cardstock (the “front” piece), I blended Mowed Lawn distress ink.

I used 3D foam tape on the “Front” piece, AVOIDING where the dog will be. You cannot put anything there, or the dog won’t have room to move.

Next, I hand wrote “PULL” on the pull tab with a pen. I really wish I had a stamp that said “PULL”, but alas, I do not! If you do, use that instead!

I also stamped some grass with Mowed Lawn distress ink.

And it’s done!

For my background, I used my diagonal stripe stencil that I made with my Silhouette Cameo machine. To see that post, click here: I used Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover to blend in the stripes.

I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp my images on white Neenah card stock.

I colored the images in with my Copic markers and then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I used 3D foam tape to adhere them to the background. I stamped my sentiment with Black Versafine.

I added some little dots with Versafine as well.

I used some clear Nuvo drops over some of my dots and then randomly placed a few others.

Here are some more images of the finished card!

DIY Stencil with Die Cut Machine

This blog post will show you how to make your own stencils using the Silhouette Cameo!

Note: In my opinion, these stencils aren’t comparable to the ones you can buy online and in stores, but they will work for a time! 🙂

You’ll need:

– A laminator

– A laminating pouch (empty)

– Silhouette Cameo (or other die cut machine + the design software)

IMPORTANT NOTE: First, you’ll want to run your empty laminating pouch through the laminating machine. (Then, you’re done with the machine and can put it away!)

Next, you’ll want to find an image that’s similar to what you want your stencil to be. I just used Google to find some diagonal stripes. It doesn’t have to be perfect, because you’ll be able to fix the design in the Design software.

Save your image to your PC or Mac wherever you would like to.

Then, open your design software and open the image.

You can edit your image now. I wanted to crop it down, since I was going to be using it for cards and wanted to fit 2 stencils on one 8.5×11 sheet. I put a rectangle where I wanted cropped out. Then I right-clicked and chose “Make Compound Path”. This will remove the portion of the image under the rectangle. (Anything that isn’t caught in this step, you can use your Eraser tool to remove whatever you don’t want.)

Next, I clicked “Trace” from the toolbar.

I made a rectangle around the image.

For this particular image, I had to change my threshold to a higher percentage so that the lines were completely filled in.

Then, I clicked the Trace button.

Next, I removed my original image (by dragging and dropping) and then I deleted it.

Next, I copied and pasted it to my 8.5×11 design that already had another stencil on it.

I chose the “Sticker Paper, Clear” as my material type.

I put the laminated pouch on my cutting mat and started the machine.

(Because it’s clear, it’s so hard to see – Sorry!)

Before choosing to Unload the cutting mat, I made sure the pieces would easily come off (which they did!) If you have thicker laminating pouches, you may have to change your settings and re-cut.

And here’s what you’re left with!! Your very own stencils!! (Again, sorry it’s so hard to see!!)

This is how I used the diagonal stripes stencil!

Valentine's Bear!

What is cuter than a bear in a heart sweater? Oh my goodness!! This card was super simple to put together! Read on to see how to make it!

This bear was stamped from the Joyful Hearts Bear from MFT.

I colored this guy in with all the colors below (and there’s a timelapse video on my instagram! @craftyandcreativevibes)

This was one of the free dies from MFT this past month!

This Falling Background stamp is from Simon Says Stamp.

I used Versamark watermark to stamp my sentiment and then I used white embossing powder.

Then I adhered everything to the front of my card.

Here are some close-ups of the finished card!

have a beary good day!

How sweet is this card?! Read on to see how I made it!

I made this background with distress inks and oxides.

Using this Tiny Flowers die, I cut out a lot of tiny flowers (more than necessary for this card!)

I flipped my Tim Holtz platform over and used it as a pad to curl the edges of my flowers.

I used this Leafy Backdrop from Pink Fresh to create a background for my card.

I then placed my Woodland Animals where I wanted them on the card and stamped them with black ink.

I colored in all my stamped images (please see the photos for colors used.)

I glued my flowers on where I wanted them and used purple Nuvo drops in their centers.

I stamped my sentiment (from The Stamp Market) and then cut it out by hand.

Here are some close-ups of the finished card!

Hydrangea – Just Because

This Tiny Flowers die and the background stamp are both from Impression Obsession.

I used the Bundled Sage distress ink with the background stamp to create a soft, distressed image.

I created a frame around the background with this stitched border die from SSS.

On another piece of card stock, I created a purple-blue background with distress inks and oxides.

Using this Tiny Flowers die, I created a whole bunch of little flowers (more than what was needed for this project.)

With my scissors, I freehanded a stem and then I drew some leaves and cut them out as well.

Using G29 and G28, I colored the stem and leaves.

I used this stitched circle die to create a background for my hydrangea.

With a pencil, I drew an outline of my flower so that I could place the tiny flowers within the shape.

I don’t have a pad to curl flowers on, so I just flipped my Tim Holtz platform over and used the pad on the back of it to curl up the ends of my flowers.

I just pressed in the center of each little flower.

I started randomly gluing flowers down in the center of my penciled outline. Then I just continued to glue the flowers down until I filled most of the white spaces.

I used the Perlen-Pen to put a little pearl on the flowers that had centers visible.

I used this sentiment from The Stamp Market and the Bundled Sage distress ink. I used my scissors to cut it down and then used 3D foam tape to adhere it to the card.

Here are some close-ups of the final piece!

Valentine's Day Bear

To make this card, I started with the “You” sentiment from The Stamp Market. I cut the “You” out 5 times on black card stock with my die.

Using Tombow glue, I glued each of the pieces together.

Then I stamped the top of the “You” with the Watermark stamp pad from Versamark.

I used clear embossing powder on the top.

I used my heat tool to emboss it.

I ended up doing this process 2 times, but if I had used a thick embossing powder, I think 1 time would’ve been enough.

Then, I stamped this little adorable bear from My Favorite Things “Joyful Heart Bears”. (I stamped twice so that I could cut the heart balloon out of one stamped image for later.)

Using E51, E21, E33, E37, E29 and R20, I colored in my bear.

I stamped the little mouse from the “Woodland Gifts” stamp set from Mama Elephant.

I colored him in with E29, E37, E33, E21, and R20.

I cut out my extra heart from my 2nd stamped image. I colored it in with R59, R29, and R39.

I stamped my sentiment with black Versamark and then put clear embossing powder on it. I used my heat gun to emboss it.

I grabbed some heart stamps from the Stinkin’ Cute set from SSS. Colored with R59, R39, R29.

Finally, I glued some red sequins to the card and rounded off 3 of the 4 corners with a punch.

Here are some close-ups of the finished card!

Sorry I Was Snappy!

Truly adore this little Aussie Animals stamp set from MFT. This is definitely the first of many cards I will make from this set!

The stitched rolling landscape is from Lawn Fawn.

I used Copic markers to color in all of stamped images. I used a white Gelly Roll pen to create highlights.

I used the Cloud stencil from Simon Says Stamp with Salty Ocean distress ink.

I stamped the sentiment with Watermark Versamark ink and used white embossing powder. I cut it out with my scissors by hand.

Elephant of Surprise!

I don’t normally do anything special inside cards, but this stamp set from Heffy Doodle definitely called for it! I also used some Stamping Masking paper, which is always a challenge! Please read on to see how I made this card!

I stamped the balloon first (because I wanted it to look like the balloon was in front of my elephant. Then, I stamped the same image on the masking paper. Using scissors, I cut the balloon (carefully!) out and placed it over my original stamped image.

I placed my elephant where I wanted him and stamped him out.

(Not shown – I used the “NUTS” stamp inside the balloon and using a fine tip pen, I wrote “aw,” above the “NUTS”.

I used a stitched circle die (from SSS) to cut my elephant out.

I colored him using N1, N3, N5, and RV21.

I colored the balloon with BG13 and BG 11.

I used this embossing folder from Darice to add a dot background.

I used Peacock Feathers and Broken China for blending the background.

I used Versamark watermark and white WOW! embossing powder for my sentiment.

I used the sentiment die from SSS to cut my sentiments out.

I adhered everything to the front of the card.

Now, on to the inside of the card!

I stamped my balloon and cake first, since I knew I wanted them to appear in front of my elephant.

Using my masking paper from the front of the card, I masked off that balloon and stamped another one (and then a few more!)

I stamped another cake on the masking paper and cut it out as well.

Using my masks, I stamped my elephant in the center. I also stamped my sentiment and a few confettis from the Birthday Monkeys stamp from Mama Elephant.

Using the same colors from the front of the card, I colored my elephant in.

I used BG colors for the balloons, cake, and confetti.

And it’s all done! Hope this post was informational! Thanks for reading!

Yappy Birthday!

Happy Thursday!

I created this card as part of the MFT Color Challenge #109. The stamp set is from MFT as well. Read on to see how I made the card!

I used a couple of post-its and my ruler to create a sort of mask for my “floor” so I could create a “wall” in the upper portion of the card.

I used this beautiful background stamp from io. stamps. I used my blender to apply the Lucky Clover distress oxide to the stamp.

I used my blender to put some more oxide on the background.

Then, I used my post-its to mask off the “wall” so that I could create a “floor”. I used Walnut Stain distress ink.

My favorite part! The puppies!! This stamp set is called Canine Companions and is from My Favorite Things. I stamped these guys out with some Black Tuxedo Memento ink and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I colored them all in with my Copics. Here are the colors I used for each:

I used my Gelly Roll pen on all of the dogs (I just forgot to put it in some of the photos!)

I stamped “Yappy Birthday” with Versamark watermark ink and then heat embossed it. I used my sentiment dies (from Simon Says Stamp) to cut it out. (Not shown – I used scissors to cut it down farther.)

I bought this adorable Stampendous stamp set from Michael’s and I’ve used these light strands on a TON of cards. I use them for Christmas lights, party lights, and outdoor string lights! I stamped them with Black Tuxedo Memento ink.

I repositioned the stamp to make a longer strand of lights.

At this point, I adhered everything to my card using double sided tape and 3D foam tape. I created a “shadow” of the puppies with a few Copic markers.

I added my Nuvo drops to my lights.

I used the balloon from the Woodland Gifts stamp set from Mama Elephant and randomly placed some balloons (using my handy dandy Post-It to keep my puppies safe from ink!

I colored the balloons and then added highlights with my Gelly Roll pen.

And all done! Here are some more close-ups!

You're a DREAM COME TRUE

This card makes me smile… I always love when I can incorporate rainbow colors into a card!

I cut my rectangle paper first and then I used my Stitched Circles die cut from Simon Says Stamp to make a circle in the middle of the rectangle piece.

Then, I used this Darice cloud embossing folder on that same piece of card stock.

On the cut out stitched circle, I stamped the castle from the Dream Come True stamp set from SSS.

I also stamped some clouds from the same set, using a post-it to keep the cloud out of the castle image.

From the Magical Dragons stamp set from My Favorite Things, I stamped the princess and colored her in with Copics.

I added some sparkle with the Wink of Stella brush.

I also colored in the castle with Copic markers.

I stamped the sentiment from the Magical Dragons stamp set with Versamark and then used white Wow embossing powder on it. I used my heat gun to emboss it.

I cut it out with the sentiments die cut from SSS and then used scissors to cut the edges.

I used the same colors of Copics from the castle to make my own colorful piece of paper to match.

I used the stars from the Falling Backgrounds stamp set from SSS. I stamped with Dandelion from Memento.

I used 3D foam adhesive on some pieces and double sided tape on the rest.

I used Nuvo drops to add a few droplets.

I used white cardstock and the Martha Stewart score board to make my envelope.

Then I stamped the stars again on the front of the envelope.

I stamped the sentiment from the Dream Come True stamp set.

I used Salty Ocean distress oxide to create a blue border around the front of the envelope.

I used all of the markers below to fill in the Dream Come True.

I added sparkle with the Wink of Stella brush.

And that was it!

For my Sister

If you saw my post a little while ago with the Rainy Day girl, this is very similar! I purchased these girls from the Silhouette Store and had my Cameo 3 sketch and cut the girls out. I chose the long haired girl for this particular card.

I used E00, E11, E13 and RV10 for the girl’s face.

I used E57, E21, and E43 for her hair.

I used B39, B41, and B45 for her dress, shoes, and bow.

I stamped her a little puppy friend from the Canine Companions from My Favorite Things. Then cut her out with the coordinating die.

I colored this little girl to match her sweet owner. I used E47, E57, E21, and E43. I used B41 and B39 for her bow.

Next, I used the Leafy Backdrop stamp from Pink Fresh Studio and using different amounts of Faded Jeans distress oxide and pressure, I created dimension in the backdrop.

I used stamps from Clearly Besotted for the sentiment “TO MY sister”.

I put 3D foam on the girl and her pup and adhered her to the card.

Here are some more photos of the finished card!

All I need is YOU … and tacos!

This is the first time I’ve participated in a My Favorite Things sketch challenge (Sketch 418). I have to say, it was harder than I anticipated it to be! I don’t usually plan a layout before I start putting things together – I prefer to wing it! So I kept finding myself wanting to deviate from the sketch! But in the end, I was able to get something put together that resembles the sketch! 🙂

The pup is from MFT Canine Companions stamp set. I stamped him with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then cut him out with the coordinating die.

I colored him using E31, E35, E37, and E39. I used RV34 and RV11 for his ears.

I used the Playful Messages sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

I used the sentiment dies from SSS to cut out and the sentiment.

I had purchased this paper from Michaels when it was on sale at the end of summer! I love a good deal!

I rounded the edges with this Fiskars punch.

I used this heart background stamp (SSS) with Picked Raspberry distress oxide.

I used a Stitched circle die and then a starburst stencil to create a background for my puppy.

I added black ink around the edge of the circle and “stitched” look with the R11 marker to the sentiment banner.

I used double sided tape for the patterned paper and 3D adhesive for the sentiment, circle, and puppy.

I added finishing touches with the Nuvo drops and Gelly pen.

That wasn’t so hard! Ha Ha!

Here for You – Rainy Day Girl

This card was super fun to make! I used the Silhouette Cameo 3 to sketch and cut the Umbrella Girl. I purchased her (and 2 other girls) from the Design Store.

I colored the girl in with my Copic markers. I used E00, E11 and E13 for her skin tones and RV10 for her blush.

I used E31 and E51 for her hair.

I used Y08, Y06 and Y02 for her umbrella and boots.

I used B39 and B45 for her jeans and Y00 and Y02 for her shirt.

I used the Faded Jeans distress oxide and the raindrops from the Falling Backgrounds stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the background multiple times with different amounts of ink and pressure to give more dimension.

I used this stitched border die to add a frame to the card.

I grabbed my sentiments from The Stamp Market’s Bear Hugs stamp set. I had to stamp multiple times because I had a fuzzy attached to my stamp that I couldn’t get rid of! 🙂 3rd time was a charm!

I used the Sentiments die from SSS to cut my sentiments out for me.

I put 3D foam tape on the backs of the girl and the sentiments and then adhered them to the page!

Elephantastic!

This simple card was to fun make with these Leafy Backdrop stamps from Pink Fresh! I think I’m going to have to find some other ways to use them! Plus these Elephant of Surprise stamps are so sweet from Heffy Doodle!

Scroll down to see how I made this card!

——————————————————

Using 3 of the Leafy Backdrop stamps, I began to place them where I wanted them. I used the New Sprout green from Memento.

I had to take the longest vine and bend the end inwards so that it would point focus to the elephant.

From my Elephant of Surprise stamp set from Heffy Doodle, I stamped one of the elephants.

Then, I colored him in using my Copic markers N3, N5, N7, and N9. I used my white Gelly pen to add highlights.

I used N1 to create a shadow under the elephant.

I used a very light hand with my Black Soot distress ink to add a light vignette around the card.

To finish the card off, I used green sequins and green Nuvo drops.

Thanks so much for reading!

Life is Sweet!

I cannot get enough of Hog Heaven from MFT Stamps. They’re just the cutest little piggies!

To make this card, I started with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Hillside Backdrop die.

I stamped my Hog Heaven stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I die cut with the coordinating dies.

I used Copic RV21 and RV23 to color in the piggies.

I used YG03 and YG06 for the cupcakes.

I used Y02 and Y00 to color in the cupcake wrappers. I used R29 and R39 for the cherry. I used C4 to make a slight shadow on the wrapper.

I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn distress inks/oxides to blend a green background.

I used the Distress Sprayer to create water droplets in the background.

I stamped my sentiments from Avery Elle’s Fruit Stand stamp set.

I attached 3D foam tape to the back of my diecut background.

I attached a thicker 3D adhesive to my piggy so he would stand out farther than the background.

I used flat tape for the smaller piggy head and cupcake.

Finally, I added some Nuvo drops to the background.

And Voila! All done!

Thanks Teacher!

Holiday cards are finally done! Now it is time for all the upcoming card needs, like the end of the school year! Crazy! 🙂

You could really do this card one of two ways. I decided to add a little dimension by stamping the 2 of the apples on a separate piece of cardstock and then fussy cutting them out and adding 3d foam adhesive to the backs. But really, you could do this card as one dimension and only use one piece of cardstock. I think both ways are beautiful!

These stamps are all from the Fresh Fruits stamp set from Mama Elephant. I started by placing my “thanks teacher” sentiment first. Then, adding my main 2 apples where I wanted them and stamping it all with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I continued placing the apples and leaves where I wanted them and then stamping them with the same Memento ink pad.

I used Copic Sketch markers R39, R29, and R24 for the red apples.

Then, E57, E51, and E41 for the stems and insides of the apples.

I used G17 and G14 for the leaves.

This is the part that you could skip, if you wanted! I stamped the 2 apples separately and then cut them with scissors. I added the 3D Foam tape to the backs and adhered them.

Such a pretty and simple card for my kids’ teachers!

Paper Bear Hugs!

These stamps are from The Stamp Market’s newest release… and I’m in LOOVE!

To make this card, I started with the “Paper Hug” stamp set and stamped (a few times) using my Abandoned Coral distress oxide. I stamped it enough that it was mostly filled, but that it still looked a little “grungy”.

Then, I die cut it with the coordinating die.

I then stamped and die cut the little bear.

I colored the little guy in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and used my white Gelly pen to add highlights. I used my clear Wink of Stella pen to add a little glitter to the heart.

Then, I laid my pieces out to see where I could put the Hearts border (also from The Stamp Market).

I removed my sentiment and bear and stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I chose the “Here for You” sentiment from the Bear Hugs stamp set and stamped it with Versamark.

I used White embossing powder and then used my heat gun on it.

I die cut it with the Sentiments die cut from Simon Says Stamp and then cut it down to size with scissors.

I used the Falling Skies stamp set to do some falling hearts with my Abandoned Coral distress oxide.

Once I had all of my hearts and everything laid out how I liked it, I put 3D foam adhesive on the back of everything and adhered it to the card. I used the long strips from CutCardStock.com and cut them down to the size I needed.

For my finishing touch, I added the cute sentiment on the back.

Here are some close up photos of the front of the card!

Silhouette Cameo Sketch – Christmas Deer

Quite in love with this little deer!

First, I drew him in Procreate on my iPad. Then, I brought him into Silhouette Studio – Designer Edition. I converted him to a Sketch (which took lots of little tweaking). The Cameo 3 then sketched him with the Silhouette sketch pen and cut him out. For the rest of the process, see below!

Using the Stitched Borders die from Simon Says Stamp, I created a little hill.

I then stamped my trees and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I stamped little snowflakes all around using Versamark to get them ready for embossing.

I used my Wow embossing pen to create little lines on the branches of the trees to add a “snow” effect.

Then I embossed all my snowflakes and “snow” with a sparkly white embossing powder and heat set.

I colored my deer with my Spectrum Noir markers as well.

I used a sentiment from the Fa La La stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and then cut it with my Sentiment Die strips (also from SSS).

Side note: I must have gotten a messed up stamp set from them because I realized it said “BY” instead of “BE”. So I threw this one away and re-did it with another sentiment.. but the process was the same!

Then I put everything on the card using 3D foam tape!

Thanks for reading this post…. If you’re interested in a step-by-step process of the deer, please let me know and I’ll create another blog post!

Rainbow Bookworms!

I LOVE rainbow cards so much! They just immediately make me smile! Hope you enjoy this one, too!

First, using 2 of the stitched circle dies from Simon Says Stamp, I made my circle frames.

Then, I started stamping out all my images and started creating a layout that I thought was balanced.

I started coloring in my stamped images with my Spectrum Noir markers, keeping a rainbow theme! It took a LOT of time and blending, but I just love the way it gradually blends to the next color.

I used my white gelly roll pen to add highlights to all the colored images.

I wanted to have multiple dimensions, so I doubled up on some 3D foam adhesive behind the bunny and cat. Then I used a thinner 3D adhesive for the circle frames.

For the finishing touch, I added some rainbow sequins along the bottom book border.

I hope this inspires you to do something fun and colorful!! Thanks for stopping by!

Ham It UP!

Isn’t this little piggy the cutest!?

First I stamped and die cut everything I needed it to make the card.

Then I laid everything out to see what layout I preferred.

I colored in the stamped images with my Spectrum Noir markers next.

I used Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio to make a subtle and pretty background.

To add a little texture, I used my water brush to flick some water on the background. Then I stamped my sentiment and used my heat tool to dry everything.

I put 3D adhesives on the back of each of the stamped images so that I could lay everything out again and get it all lined up perfectly before I adhered them to the card.

After I adhered all the stamped images, I used my Nuvo drops to make a few droplets.

And that’s it – it’s done (after it dries, of course!!) Thanks for looking!!

Book Worm Bookmark

To start off, I used my corner punch to round the corners and used a regular hole punch for the hole. I don’t have any bookmark dies so I just used what I had available!

Then I stamped my row of books.

I also don’t have any masking paper (if only I had a limitless budget and limitless crafting space!!) so I used a post-it, a pencil, and scissors to create a mask of the books.

I used Salty Ocean distress ink to create a little background.

I used my Spectrum Noir markers to create a book shelf (using my post-it as a guide and then fixing my line after removing the post-it).

I used a fine tip pen and a ruler to make a clean line for my shelf.

Then I started stamping the bottom of the bookmark.

Once I had that done, I colored in my books and my little guy, using my Spectrum Noir markers.

Then I tied my baker’s string to the top and voila! Done!

Book Worms

This stamp set from Mama Elephant is just the cutest!!

First, I cut the piece for the bottom by placing it on the card and using a pencil to draw my lines where I wanted them. Then, I used Tim Holtz distress inks and oxides to blend the background on the piece of card stock.

After that was complete, I placed it where I wanted it on the card. Using my stamp platform, I lined up where I wanted the books to be and then removed my blended piece and stamped the books.

I moved the books over and stamped them again to create one long line of books.

Afterwards, I glued my blended card stock piece onto the card and colored the books in with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Then I stamped my little book worm friends and colored them in as well with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I placed them where I wanted them on the card stock and used 3D foam to adhere them and create dimension.

Finally, I used my Nuvo drops to create a border down the left side of the page.

I just eyeballed it and did each color at a time.

Easy peasy!!

Have a Happy Day… Just for the “Halibut”

First, I used a stitched border die from My Favorite Things for the background piece.

With the Drifting Stitches border dies from Simon Says, I created 4 separate waves on white cardstock.

Next, I used the Clouds stencil from Simon Says Stamp and the Squeezed Lemon + Scattered Straw distress inks to blend the background. I used a sunburst stencil to make it look like sun rays coming out behind the clouds.

I then lined up my waves how I liked them on the background and glued them down. I then used Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers distress inks to blend the waves.

I added a few birds from the Clouds Skies stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I stamped a few fish from the Halibut stamp set from Darcie’s Heart and Home and the Father’s Day Finds stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I colored them using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then adhered them to the background with foam squares.

I stamped my sentiment on white cardstock and then drew a word bubble around it. Using scissors, I fussy cut the bubble out and used a foam square to place it on the background. Finally, I used Nuvo drops to add some water droplets on the background.

Glad you’re part of my tribe

Using the Clouds and Grass stencils from Simon Says Stamp, I created a single layer background. I used Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass distress inks to blend the background.

Then, I used a stitched background die from My Favorite Things to add a border around the background.

Then, I stamped the little girl and feathers with the Pink and Main “My Tribe” stamp set. I colored the stamps in using the Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Then, I used the dies to cut the stamped images out and used foam squares to adhere them to the background.

I stamped the “glad you’re part of my tribe” sentiment directly onto the background. I finished the card off using clear Nuvo drops to add some embellishment.
