Oh my gosh! I love the new Lovebirds Stamp Set, don’t you?! The whole Ex Libris Collection is finally available for purchase now! Woot woot!
Although I ADORE the new ink colors, I am a Party Collection girl myself! So, I wanted to showcase this stamp set using a Party rainbow blended background. I blended Party Dress, Limoncello, and Fiesta Blue to create a gorgeous rainbow background. I also spritzed the background with water to create some texture!
Once I had my background blended, I stamped my birdcages and sentiment straight onto my background. Then, I used a ruler and black Copic pen to draw lines from my birdcages to the top of the card.

I have step-by-step instructions on creating this mini journal.. so read on!
I’m starting out with my uber-professional looking template! 😉 1. Cut a piece of white cardstock down to 4.75″ x 7.25″. 2. Score it at 3.5″ and 3.75″. 3. Round off your corners with a corner punch, if desired.
Grab your patterned paper – I’m using the new Twilight Reading Paper Pack. 4. Cut down smaller pieces of cardstock that are approximately .25″ less for each layer. I’m using the Scallops and Dots Dies and a paper trimmer. 5. If you rounded your edges on your white cardstock base, you’ll probably want to round these off as well. I’m only rounding the right corners.
6. Use a small hole punch or poker tool to create a small hole for a brad. 7. Place a brad in the hole, giving yourself room to wrap twine around a few times.
8. On the inner flap, tape a piece of twine that’s long enough to wrap around your mini journal 2-4 times, depending on what you want it to look like.
9. Glue a piece of patterned cardstock on the front flap to cover the tape and brad. My piece of paper is 3.25″ x 4.5″. I’m also using the same size and paper for the other flap.
I’m going to add a little more interest on the front of mine by stamping some birdcages from the Lovebirds stamp set with the new Apricot ink. Im going to trim that down and glue it to the front.
Now we’re ready to work on the inside! 10. Grab a piece of patterned paper and trim it down to 3.75″ x 2.5″. 11. Score at .5″ and 3.5″. Turn 90 degrees and score at .5″.
12. Use some scissors to cut triangles out of the flaps.
13. Use red tape to secure the pocket to your mini journal.
14. Grab some computer paper. Trim strips that are 8″ x 2.75″. Fold them in half and secure them together with a stapler. Stamp an image in the corner on one or all of the pages. 15. Use red tape to secure it to the inside of your journal.
16. Create some tags out of coordinating patterned paper and stick them in your pocket!
That’s it!
I hope you enjoyed this post and try to make your own mini journal!

The first card I get to share with you showcase the new Twilight ReadingPaper Pack, the new Apricot Ink, and the new Lovebirds Stamp Set!
I used the Circle Dies to cut out a circle in the bottom right portion of my patterned paper. I blended my circle cutout with the new Apricot ink. I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock and used my circle die to remove that section of my white strip. I stamped my sentiment from the Lovebirds stamp set in the open space on the left side.
I stamped my birdcage with black ink and then used a Copic marker to lightly color it in. I propped my patterned paper up with 3D foam tape to create more dimension. I added some London Mix sequins to finish the card off!

While waiting for that to dry, I cut a panel of white cardstock for the ground. I used the Tiled Wall Stencil and Twilight ink to create little pavestones.
Next, I stamped my images from the Enjoy the Little Things and Cafe Critters stamp sets, colored them with Copic markers, and then cut them out using the coordinating dies.
Finally, I assembled my card using liquid glue and 3D foam squares.

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Collaboration Blog Hop! Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies!
I’m so excited to share this card I made with you! I absolutely adore both of these companies’ products! They work SO WELL together! Can you guess which products are from which company? Read on to see!
To create my super vibrant background, I am blending Sixteen Candles, Pixie Dust and Grape Crush through the Time for Tea Tiled Wall Stencil. Once that’s done, I am going to very gently go over the entire background with a blending brush that has leftover Sixteen Candles ink on it.
To create the forefront of my scene, I am using the leaves from the Heffy Doodle Tree-mendous Peekaboo Tree Die and blending Melon Ice and Lime Rickey onto my cutout. For the dirt hill, I am using the Heffy Doodle Slimline Scenery Dies and blending Sand Castle and Over Coffee ink onto it. I am then splattering some white acrylic paint mixed with water using a small paintbrush. I’ve also used the Silver Linings Border Dies to create some clouds for the top portion of my scene and have left them white.
Now I’m ready to stamp my little cuties! I am grabbing the Heffy Doodle Hello Squeakheart Stamp Set and the Time for Tea Cafe Critters Stamp Set. I’m coloring them with my Copic markers using purples, greens, and yellows.
I’ve cut out the word “ENJOY” using the Heffy Doodle Stitched Alphabetters Dies and used Melon Ice and Lime Rickey to color them. Once I’ve cut my stamped images out using the coordinating dies, I’m ready to start assembling my card! I’m using Heffy Doodle’s Deep Foam Tape and Glubert Glue. I’m also creating one last sentiment by stamping the word “SQUEAKHEART” from the Hello Squeakheart stamp set on black cardstock with Versamark watermark ink. Then, I’m applying white embossing powder to it and cutting the sentiment into a ribbon using my scissors.
And, voila! Don’t those little cuties look so cute?! 🙂
That’s it for me on this Hop! I hope you enjoyed my card and all the love I put into it!

Today, I’m making a card with my leftover piece from yesterday’s card. If you missed my post yesterday, you can see it here. I’m using the Just Roll With It Collection for this release!
I ran a slimline card front through my die cutting machine with the Plant Stand Slimline Die. I placed the die cut card front on top of another slimline card front. Then, I blended Limoncello, Glitz, Party Dress, Pucker Up and Flirty Fuschia inks onto both card fronts. This gives me 2 different card fronts to use!
Next, I stamped my kitty from the Just Roll With It stamp set and then colored her with Copic markers. I also stamped my sentiments on black cardstock nd then used white embossing powder on them. I used the Nested Stitched Heart Dies and then trimmed off one edge of the heart and propped it up with foam squares.
Thank you so much for hanging out with me today! I can’t wait to share more cards with you from this collection!

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Newton’s Nook Designs Collaboration Blog Hop! Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration using products from both companies! I am super excited to share my card with you!
To create this card, I’m starting with the Heffy Doodle Slimline Mini Mails Die and a piece of white cardstock trimmed to slimline size (3.5″x8.5″).
Next, I am stamping my images from the Newton’s Nook All About for Christmas stamp set and the Heffy Doodle Santa’s Village stamp set with the Maker Forte ReMARKable Eclipse Black ink. This is my favorite alcohol-friendly black ink!
Now, onto coloring my adorable images with Copic markers!
To create my hill and slider element, I’m using the Heffy Doodle Slimline Scenery Dies and the Straight Slider Dies. To create a longer slider, I’m die cutting 2 of the sliders right next to each other.
Using Deep Foam tape, I’m propping up my hill to give me room for a button to use as my sliding element. After attaching my trains to the buttons, I can start assembling the rest of the card using 3D foam squares and glue!
Here’s another photo of the finished card and some close-ups!

Hey crafty friends! Happy Friday! I hope you’re all having a lovely day! I just got this Newton’s Nook Woodland Picnic stamp set and I couldn’t WAIT to make a card with it!
Now, for my favorite part! Coloring with Copics!! Eek! I kept to a basic palette of greens, reds, and a little bit of YR’s.
For my card base, I blended Catherine Pooler’s Do-si-do ink and then spritzed it with water. Catherine Pooler’s inks react beautifully with water! For my grass, I blended Garden Party.

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle, Maker Forte, and SugarPea Designs Collaboration Blog Hop! Design Team members from all three companies are sharing inspiration using products from all three companies!
Today, I am sharing 2 cards that I made using tons of awesome products from these companies!
For my interactive pull tab and slider card, I’m starting by stamping my images from the Heffy Doodle Otter Side and You Go, Gull stamp sets and the Sugar Pea Designs Captain of My Heart and Waves of Love stamp sets. To ensure I get a really crisp stamped image, I’m using my Smoosher Tool from Maker Forte and my MISTI. I’m coloring my images with Copic markers and then cutting the images out with my Die Cutting Machine.
Now I’m ready to create my waves. I’m using some colored cardstock and the Breaking Waves Dies, plus the Wavy Water Slides to create my coordinating wave slider.
For my front, I created sand using Copic markers. For my waves, I used the Breaking Waves Dies.
For my images, I am using the same sets as my first card. I’ve stamped my images, used Copic markers to color them, and now I’m attaching my little fishies and birds to small strips of acetate.
To make assembling my card easier, I am using my favorite Rainbow Tweezers.
And, that’s it! Both cards completed!
To be entered to win the giveaway, all you need to do is comment at each stop along the Blog Hop! Maker Forte will be giving away $35, Heffy Doodle will be giving away £25, and SugarPea Designs will be giving away $25 to their respective stores! Hey crafty friends!!! It’s another Christmas in July post! Scrapbook.com just released some really fun Christmas products and they asked ME to make some projects with them! How could I refuse?! I love their products!
If you want to shop Scrapbook.com using my affiliate link, click here. That will get me a little percentage of your purchase so I can keep buying new crafty supplies and sharing inspiration with you! 🙂
Now onto my projects! My first project is a slimline card!
I’m grabbing my Scrapbook.com Premium Clear Ink Pad and the Slimline Snowflake stamp set. Using my MISTI, I’m placing my Cools Smooth Slimline colored cardstock into the MISTI and stamping the snowflakes with the clear ink. This will create a “watermark” effect in my background that looks really cool in person. Next, I’m stamping my “Ho Ho Ho” all the way down the front of the card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I’m using the Smart Glue to adhere my layers together and then adding some Seafoam Pops of Color for a finishing touch!
For my next project, I’m going to make a folded envelope with some tags inside!
To create this cute little pocketfold envelope, I’m starting with a piece of double sided Snowflakes Crate Paper. See the gallery below to watch me fold it step-by-step:
To round off the edges of the envelope, I’m using the 3-in-1 Corner Punch. I’m using my Smart Glue again to adhere the flaps down.
Now that my pocketfold is ready, I’m ready to move onto my tags.
For my sentiment, I’m stamping with Metallic Gold Ink. I’m masking off the part of the stamp I don’t want to ink up with Memo Tape.
Thank you SO much for stopping by my blog today! I appreciate YOU so much!
Just a reminder, clicking on the products above will go to my affiliate links for those products! I appreciate all the extra spending money I can get! I enjoy sharing my inspiration with you!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Catherine Pooler Designs Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some inspiration with the new Heffy Doodle and Catherine Pooler releases, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!
I had such a fun time playing with the new releases! The Catherine Pooler inks are so juicy and amazing! I had to make more than just one card!
I am using one of the dies from the Fancy Nancy Frames set to create a cutout in the center of the top of my card front.
I’m using the Happy X Three dies to cut out a black inline and a white outline for my sentiment.
On a piece of Heffy Doodle Cherry on Top cardstock that I cut down to A2 size, I am placing my Fancy Foliage stencil and blending the pattern using Candied Apple and Fired Brick distress ink/oxide.
Now, I’m ready to stamp my Quill You Be Mine images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This ink works well with Copic markers, which I will use to color in my stamped images. Body: E41, E42, E43, R21, white Gelly Roll pen Quills: E44, E43, and E42 Balloons (on 2nd attempt!): G0000, G00, and G02
After using the coordinating dies to cut my images out, I’m ready to start putting my card together. I’m using foam tape and squares to create a 3D layers.
I’m stamping my sentiment on black cardstock using Versamark Watermark ink. I’m adding white detail embossing powder and using my heat gun to emboss it. I am cutting down small strips of 1/8” foam tape and putting it on the back of my “happy” piece.
Now I’m ready to add my sentiments and it’s all done!
Card 2
For the next card, I’m going to make a slimline card, using the same Catherine Pooler inks and So Happy stamp set. I’m starting by laying out where I want things to be. I’m going to use some masking tape to cover the sentiment “HAPPY” because I’m going to stamp that in a different color. After stamping my sentiments, I’m using one of the Fancy Nancy frames to create some peek-a-boo cutouts. I’m using the Mint to Be ink pad to blend a background that will be peeking through my cutouts.
I’m stamping my bugs from the Big Bug Hugs and coloring them with Copic markers.
Now, I’m ready to adhere everything to the card using 3D foam adhesive!
Catherine Pooler and Heffy Doodle will be respectively giving away a $25 and a 25£ gift certificate to their stores! Make sure to comment on each post in the hop for your chance to win! Winner will be chosen randomly and announced on Tuesday, February 25th on the Heffy Doodle and Catherine Pooler blogs.
I’m going to create a background using Heffy Doodle’s Sun Moon and Stars Dies. I’m also going to blend a background with some distress oxides and my blending brushes. I’m creating some very light stars with white distress ink and the Heffy Doodle Starfall Stencil. For my foreground, I’m using a brick stencil that I made myself and distress oxide.
